Stopped here on a snow day from work, so it read not busy at all. Still, a few regulars were in for coffee and a chat along with a student who seemed to have wandered away from the University to find some realr breakfast. The guys behind the counter were friendly and accommodating. The wooden table and chair arrangements, pressed metal ceiling and kitchy wall paper runner of book spines atop the wainscoting contrasted with the funky beats of Brick House, James Brown and Peter Frampton playing over the radio. Is this Madison, or am I still in Eau Claire?

They have my favorite double espresso drink available in three sizes. Alongside a warmed up piece of bacon, cheddar and mushroom quiche accompanied by a piece of cranberry-wild rice toast, my appetite was fully satisfied.

I'll be back, maybe this summer to check out the lunch menu and outdoor seating.

Owner exhibited a prime example of "age discrimination" in "putting on hold" (owners words) of a senior citizen server. Effectively replaced with newer younger models with no reason given. Disgusting behavior by a business owner who should be ashamed of her actions in such a wonderful, diverse community. Discrimination of any kind has NO place in Eau Claire. Just be mindful that any patronage of this place is support of such behavior.

The bread pudding is out of this world! The coffee is great the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is casual and comfy, the quiche is good too.

This is a lovely, quaint little Cafe. It's book-themed character is a nice touch. The workers are polite and welcoming.

Absolutely LOVE the look and feel of the cafe. The food is never a let down and I adore that they have fun specials like pumpkin pie soup!

I love this place! Friendly staff and a delicious selection on a beautiful antique building. My favorite order is the Swiss Broccoli Robinson omlette.
