The bakery use to be the best with the doughnuts in town but now I can even buy them. They are not the same. I purchased some on my shopping trip once and when I got home to eat them they tasted like days old and they were from that area of the store.

Best grocery store in town for fresh meat and produce. Rechecks is for sure my grocery store of preference. Bonus? Besides onsite services such as money orders and postal stamps up front, they will order basically whatever you want if they're able. All you have to do is ask. Personally, I'm happy to pay a tiny bit more to support a small local business and receive such exemplary service!

It's been a town staple for years. It's clean, well stocked and the workers are helpful and polite. For the store size the variety is pretty good! If you want to support local, this is the place to grocery shop

Great store, wonderful employee's, have been going there as far back as I can remember. My last visit was picking Thanksgiving dinner there, to host, family from out of town, everyone loved the food, would have added a picture but everyone at it all. A definite go to place, not just personally but also professionally.

I call this place "Roaches" due to a quick glance at the sign while passing through Beaver Dam when I first moved here. But this place is far from that. An amazing selection for the area, and An even better liquor selection.

Amazing bakery, especially the hardrolls. A very attentive young man named Justin assisted us with questions about the homemade brats. You have a quality employee in him who is most knowledgeable. Nice little store.

I read the reviews so I wanted to see how much more fantastic this was then the other major grocery store in Beaverdam the large Piggly Wiggly near McDonald’s and 151. First thing I noticed when I walked in it seem like a pretty dark lit store but pretty modern on the on the layout. Stopped by the deli seemed a lot of pre-cut meat waiting I kind of like fresh cut, so I ordered some strange brand I’ve never heard of - theydidn’t have Saralee or boars head - some different brand I bought sun-dried tomato turkey, kind of on the dry side. But was OK. Then I went to the bakery area for fresh sub rolls and the sub rolls were not crazy fresh I got the freshest ones they had per the bakery woman and they felt like they were already getting kind of hard. Then on my list was a package of everything bagels and they had none, they had Saralee plain bagels and a couple others but they were very limited on the bagels that were available in the bread aisle. Then I was there to get coffee and some coffee creamer when I went to the coffee aisle it was very limited and different brands which was surprising many less than what I was used to. The Dunkin’ Donuts coffee (which I normally buy) was significantly more expensive than I’ve ever seen in any store it was $10.65 for a pound I just paid 699 at Walmart and I think seven dollars and change at Piggly Wiggly so rechek’s is horrifically more expensive for the same item you can get elsewhere, what scares me is what else am I buying here that’s overprice there??? I looked for the fresh meats display and seafood area and I didn’t see butchers or fresh options I saw prepackaged stuff and maybe I missed it but after checking a few more items and noticing the pricing that was significantly more than Piggly Wiggly I just put everything back and left the store. Then went to my tried and true Piggly Wiggly I was able to get boars head meats that I know are delicious, much fresher sub rolls that are made daily and they were soft as can be, lower-cost produce, my Dunkin’ Donuts coffee that was 40% cheaper, and everything else was available less expensive the meat counter had butchers back there with seafood they asked me what I wanted it’s just a much more positive experience at Piggly Wiggly. This is my observation but I don’t see the advantages of recheks only higher prices. Maybe I’m missing something.

Love coming here. This reminds me of many years vacationing on Fox Lake with our parents. We came to Rechek's sometimes, for groceries and bakery. My sister and I try to stop here anytime we're in the area. Fabulous hot food case, great deli, plenty of variety of Bakery. Their produce always looks fresh. It's just always kind of a nostalgic feeling, coming here. Hope it stays this way.
