Every stop or drive through Bayfield means I'm stopping at Wonderstate for an espresso and a scone. I'll sit out front and catch conversation with those who share the bench.
It's cozy, friendly, and all around excellent coffee.

This wonderful coffee shop really came through for the Bayfield Rec Center for the 2021 Point to La Pointe Swim event. At the last minute when we needed it, they provided us with extra coffee, cups, etc. They were delightful to work with and the coffee was fabulous! Thank you Lissy et al :)

Good coffee. Terribly stressed out or crabby staff. I had to walk out after being talked to the way the barista talked to me. We all have bad days so I'll try it again.

I went to Kickapoo coffee expecting a pleasant trendy Cafe experience. Which I got. However... The drink I had was sublime. I'm not trying to be over dramatic, but the maple syrup latte here was simply amazing. They didn't pump it full of fake syrup that left it too sweet. No. They used just enough maple syrup to give it a light sweetness and distinct maple syrup taste, but every sip left this lingering 'slightly burnt marshmallow' taste. I wanted to just order those all weekend and forget about the rest of the Bayfield vacation.
Feeling this must have been a fluke, and perhaps a different barrista would turn up new results, I returned the next day to only have that same delicious latte.
I have been unable to recreate this Latte at home with my own Kickapoo coffee and maple syrup. More than once I've considered taking the 5 hour drive north to try it again. At the very least it was good enough for me to write a review months after visiting because I've just disappointed myself with yet another subpar maple syrup latte.
tl;dr - Great coffee shop. You should visit. Consider trying the maple syrup latte so you can dissapoint yourself with future lattes you get at other cafés.

I came here while visiting Bayfield and ordered a iced latte coffee with caramel syrup. It was yummy. If I come back to town I will come back.

I am an avid Caribou girl and favor a few other home roaster shops. I was in Bayfield, WI, over 4th of July. I stopped in and had a Vanilla Bean Latte. We came back the next day before heading back to Duluth because I NEEDED to have another on of those Lattes! Plus I picked up a bag of the Driftwood blend. That is the most incredible coffee I have ever tasted! So, I went online because I am out and need another bag, but it wasn't on the website. Do you not still have this coffee available? Also, PLEASE put one of your coffee houses in the Duluth/Superior area....... :)

I go here a lot. From Ashland. Drive 22 miles each way because of its amazing location -- I get to look at Lake from my window, as I study -- great staff and sturdy coffee. I only drink black. Nothing fancy. So, for me, it is everything else that pulls me in. But I love this place; a worthy stop.
