Absolutely amazing donuts and buns! I'm sure everything is fantastic, but that's all I've had so far. The frosting is my favorite. I just wish they were open more.
Some great items, but what an awful attitude from the cashier on my last visit. It won’t be as convenient, but I can always get my bakery items from somewhere else.
We love this little, authentic, small town bakery! I think they rely more on yeast and less on sugar in their baking because everything tastes and smells just like the bakery we used to go to when we were kids. Stop in if you have the chance. You won't be disappointed! ;-)
the pastries are delicious! not very friendly though. they aren't open very often, and when they are they are not friendly at all. it's worth it though for the donuts. I also asked how much for the chocolate covered caramels, and she said they are by weight, and left it at that. I said never mind, grabbed my donuts, and left. not the first time I have felt like I was bothering her. my mother is from out of town and said the same thing.
Hard to rate - pastries are very good, but overpriced and half the size of similar pastries at other local bakeries (Grandma’s in Cashton is the gold standard). Biggest problem was maybe the least friendly clerk ever, especially in a small town in Wisconsin, where people tend to go out of their way to make you feel at home. This girl acted like she’d rather be having her teeth pulled than wait on customers. There are a LOT of terrific small town bakeries in the area that actually seem to enjoy their business. We will shop at those in the future and hope the Augusta Bakery employees find a job at a place where they don’t have to deal with actual customers.
The pastries are excellent and the service is super! They also have drinks in a cooler they sell also which is a nice addition for a small bakery. There is a small area to sit down and eat but it's real small, its a great small town bakery, and is right down town so there are other small shops close by which makes it convenient!
This place is famous for their bakery items but what I recommend is the service. It is as small town as it comes. I recommend the Apple Danish but they have so much more. It is a little taste of what small town life in Wisconsin is. You will not leave disappointed!
I'd have to say this is the best donut shop I know. There are people in my family who would travel 1000 miles and stop in here while they are in the area because they feel the same way. No other donuts compare in my experience.
An average bakery with average service. Some interesting offerings but nothing will exceed reasonable expectations. Smiling service people and more room to sit inside would garner close to 4 star experience.
There items are extremely good and fresh but only open 2 days a weeks so kind limited to when you can stop if at all considering you may not have the time to stop in and unless you know exactly what you want you cant really place a order if they were open more I'd give at least another star hopefully with covid coming to a close they will expand there hours
