If able to rate negative stars, I would. This is a locally owned restaurant that our office staff support regularly. We order lunch here several times monthly (actually twice this week) have had slight issues with rudeness each time but always overlooked it. After today's experience, myself as well as our office staff will not be back. We placed an order for pickup and requested our orders be separated. The girl on the phone was rude to my coworker when the order was placed, complaining of the fact that we requested separate orders. I arrived and was immediately treated coldly and at that time, I almost walked out. After the girl, named Olivia K (on our receipts), rang up our orders, she preceeded to tell me to "tell the girls in the office", that moving forward, there would be a surcharge of $2.00 per order for separing orders (we had 5 orders). I informed her no need to worry, that we would NOT be back. Like mentioned earlier, the environment here has always had a coldness from the staff but was always overlooked, not this time! She then proceeded to tell me, they don't have enough help/waitresses. I responded with the understanding that I know well the shortage issue, as I have worked through a pandemic the past 18 months, in Healthcare where hours are long and staffing shortages are the norm. In all honesty, the food is good, but I would rather eat dirt than be treated like I was today. Beyond that, the prices are already above the norm for our area. So, next time we'll go to Chef Paul's or Ellies Deli, where the staff always welcome us with warmth and a smile!! We are all doing the best we can but this establishment is not!

Run by a daughter- mother duo. Extremely impressed by the young woman, Olivia. Prices are reasonable and the food you get is so delicious and much higher quality than you would expect for a tiny little place at an old airport. Love it. Try the baked goods, you won't be disappointed.

This place is fantastic. We flew into KCBE for take out. The club sandwich and blue cheese burger were fantastic, cream of crab soup was super crabby. The deserts including hummingbird cake were to die for. Absolutely come here and have delicious food. We will be back. This place was so good. Great prices, great service.

Food, service and atmosphere were very good. Giving only 3 stars due to attitude of owner. During the eating experience someone would yell out, extremely loud, from the kitchen "order up". It became annoying the busier it became. When ask how everything was, it was suggested that the yelling might be something they might want to review. The owner developed an attitude and told us, very hatefully, if we didn't like it we should set further away from the kitchen. She ask. We told her. We won't be back. Too bad. You should never respond to your customers that way especially when you ask for feedback. You should be prepared to receive either good, bad or otherwise.

First time here and it was good. Good pricing and very big portions for the sandwich. Great view of the runway if you chose to eat out back.

Visited for Brunch. Kinda has a diner vibe, food was really good, both got one of the daily specials and they were uncommon creations that had very good flavor.

The Mile High club is a must try. Have been there several times and everything thing has been fresh and delicious. Very big portions and friendly wait staff. Food arrived quickly as did the appetizer. Worth a trip if in the area.

The extra crispy deep fried hummingbird is excellent, but it sure does take a lot of the little buggers to make a meal.

It's nice and cozy, you can bring a church group or your family out there to get together. Or even get together with your friends or even just go out by yourself and enjoy the scenery of the planes or just reading a book or whatever. It's a nice environment.
