Stardust Cafe

Lived in Chicago for 6 years & DC for 3, and dined at magnificent restaurants in both cities, but I can say tonight I have never had such a great meal as I had at Stardust. Everything was perfect and the food was so well prepared it was a beautiful surprise given the facilities look like an average diner joint. Easy to overlook but walk inside and you will never forget it.

Incredible farm to table! The food was spectacular from the soup to the dessert! The salmon was to die for. We were just passing through and gave it a try after camping in the New River Gorge National Park. If you are in the area this is a don’t miss for sure!

Wow, the perfect spot in my opinion. Quaint, relaxed, reasonably priced, amazing food and drinks. The Mango Curry Chicken was delicious.

Food was beyond our expectations. Very fresh and well prepared. Staff was attentive and friendly. I had marinara with zucchini ribbons and grilled Chicken With a side of grilled asparagus. Salad was so fresh and not too big. Everyone raved about the flavors and freshness of their food. We were very happy with our dining choice! This one was an absolute hit!

I got a tasty mango Italian soda and the special of the day a fried green tomato sandwich with chips on the side. It took a lot of strength not to drink the entire glass of soda all in one go. The food was appetizing the side of chips was very interesting, I think it was cilantro sprinkled on the top of the dry chips? Whatever they did it was wonderful. My husband got the pasta salad instead as his side and it was very delicious.

Went for dinner at 0730pm. Food arrived at 0900pm. Terrible considering we only ordered 2 grilled steaks. We felt sorry for the cook because he had a tiny space to work in without a real kitchen and just two small grills. He produces great food though and performed miracles in that cramped spot. Good job. But neither the server nor the manager could muster an apology for the wait. Very bad form. We would have had dessert but there was not time. The server was otherwise very polite.
