Stale and strange/bad tasting muffins, ended up throwing it all up shortly after with a stomach ache. Also, why advertise breakfast sandwiches if your grill doesn't open until 10:30?

We were excited to get some coffee and walk around Harpers Ferry. Unfortunately, the lattes are not lattes, they taste like gas station cappuccinos. We didn’t get food so this review is only for the coffee.

In regards to the food and baked items I cannot say, so my review does not reflect that area. But when it comes to the coffee, don't waste your time. The lines are long and the wait is too mainly because of its location but they do not know how to brew espresso. Any espresso based drink will be burnt, so do not bother. There is another a coffee shop up the main road that is way better and you'll be able to taste the difference.

Service was great. Food and cleanliness were lacking. Sign in front displayed a special on crab cakes, which we were informed they actually weren't serving. My girlfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was very fatty / grizzly. Patio had boxes strewn about, a dolly with boxes and boxes of cooking oil, bags of top soil, etc. Overall just not a good experience. Bummer because it's such a cute neighborhood but this place did not live up. The waitress was great and I truly felt bad she had to serve such poor food in a bad environment.

I enjoyed a delicious affogato here.

The staff is unintentionally rude. The burger was ok but they have no concept of serving crazy. My wife ordered chicken tenders which come with three tenders for 7.99 I would expect the tenders to be around the same size 2/3 of the strips were a quarter of the size of the first. When my wife inquired about it they were unapologetic. They told her they come in different sizes with out offering another strip or anything. I would expect that a place like this would care since the reviews aren’t sting to make sure customers are taken care of. What a shame.

Whenever my Mom and I visit Harpers Ferry we always eat at the Coffee Mill. We can sit down inside, or outside, have a burger, fries, and a drink for a reasonable price and even check the shop out while eating. They have small restrooms, a general store kind of atmosphere and, a important plus for us, the school groups that sometimes swarm the historical location never seem to go here. Too small maybe? Not modern enough? Not fast food enough? Also you may notice a lot of hikers in it. The hikers use it because they can hike in one end, order their food, and walk out the other. It is kind of part of the Appalachian Trail.
Even picked up a postcard or two there. Some people may complain about the price but this IS a historical location and you have to think of the Coffee Mill in terms of a museum restaurant or cafe. Compared to an arm and a leg some museum cafes make you pay for a sandwich and a bag of chips the Coffee Mill is VERY reasonable. But this is from a person who has visited a LOT of museums in his lifetime.

This place is horrid, like literally out of a horror movie. Coffee taste like boonyang hot or iced, we tried both. They had 1 creamer cup in the whole store. The workers we're rude, we asked if they could clean up a table for us and she rolled her eyes. Then proceeded to take the old boxes off of a table in the far corner which obviously irritated her. Veggie burger was okay. Then when we told her we did not like the coffee she then told us i have to charge you for two since we tried both iced and hot. I was highly pissed off. Do not advertise as a coffee shop if you cannot congure up a simple cup of coffee. Worst waste of money.

The food is ok. Chicken salad was fine. Hamburger was definitely a frozen patty. kids meals are generous. This place needs a thorough cleaning. There was no wait staff inside and the tables needed a wipe down. There was a waitress for the outside area but the wait was long and you have to want to dine with dogs if you sit outside. The place was packed even though there are reataurants next door.
