The sandwiches here are delicious. The bread is absolutely perfect and the ingredients are fresh. Get here early for lunch, lest they run out of your favorites. The wine list is a wonderful primer on natural wines. Word is the owner has a secret list beyond what is on the wall if you can catch him. Everyone in the area is so excited about their pizza, but that doesn't start until 5pm on Friday. If the weather is nice, sit on the patio and enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountain.

I am often in White Salmon when I'm touring The Gorge. On a recent trip with my family we decided to stop for coffee and baked goods and boy were we glad we did!

First of the environment is warm and welcoming. All the staff had a smile on their faces and they were cooking bread right there like it was a home!

The espresso was expertly pulled and absolutely delicious. The coffee cake was moist and sweet with great cakey layers. The bread pudding was warm and gooey and satisfying. The portion sizes were generous and the cost was reasonable.

If you're in the area I wholly recommend a visit and you know I'll be back!

Incredible place. Perfect coffee, fresh baked sweets (cardamon roll yum) and savory egg sandwiches on fresh English muffins. Lunch sandwiches are also perfect on fresh crisp crust baguettes or soft ciabatta. I have not had soup or specials, because I already have too many favorites I'm addicted to, but will try something new soon. So happy to have this in town. All my friends say it is the best anywhere in the gorge. I can't think of a better place in this category, including Portland.

Excellent food. Day old breads for $3 and day old pastries for 50% off. Pizza nights and sandwiches are fresh made and seasonal. The espresso is great and the mocha's are chocolatey but not overly sweet. Typical pricing to other bakeries. Baked dog bones for your pooch at the counter for $1. Four stars because of the poor attitudes I have seen at the counter. I'll give five star when I don't get attitude for asking a simple question. This has happened three times now.

This little bakery is excellent! The sandwiches are amazing and the cookies are tasty bits of heaven. Left with a Walnut Levain loaf of bread can't wait to try at home. Highly recommend stopping in here. Come early because they sell out fast.

This little bakery is quick, clean, and quaint with plenty of tasty delicious breakfast pastries and a spiffy selection of pizzas to choose from. Certainly a gem in White Salmon’s eatery scene. Be sure to get in early while the baked goods are fresh and warm.

I know that the White Salmon Bakery has a great reputation, but the experience we had was so disappointing I had to leave a review so the management will hopefully take notice.

It was a busy Monday morning, February 17th, with all the seats taken by customers, which is great to see. We made our way to the front counter with a menu in hand. The two staff neither made eye contact with us, greeted us or thanked us either before or after our transaction. The woman who helped us was frowning and staring out the window while we ordered. I felt like an annoyance. She took our money, placed our order and walked away. While waiting for our food, the same woman who helped us grabbed a beverage and asked a customer if he would like his drink opened. He responded, “that’s not what I ordered.” She said, “oh sorry, it was a rough night.”

We were given a number and waited for our food. The server arrived and said, “two toasts for number 22,” took our number and proceeded to walk away. I looked him in the eye, thanked him for his service, and watched him walk away. He neither smiled or acknowledged me. It was one of the most unfortunate dining experiences I have had in this town, and I love White Salmon.

The bottom line is that I know this town is a tourist destination and that many employees here work long hours with low compensation. I have also worked in the service industry and understand. However, it doesn’t take that much energy to act friendly or welcoming. I understand people are hungover on occasion and don’t feel like coming to work, but don’t advertise that to a customer. Don’t knowingly provide poor service to customers and tell them it’s because you drank too much last night. The toast was delicious! But for more than $30, it would be great to at least get a smile for my business.

Honestly the best bakery I've ever been to, anywhere in the world. I'm obsessed, and so very thankful that it's right across the river from where we live in Hood River. This is the ONLY place I ever recommend as a brunch spot to folks visiting the Gorge (especially if you're hiking with dogs; the patio is dog-friendly).

The avocado toast, at the risk of sounding like a stereotypical millennial, is life-changing. The double chocolate cookies are chewy, melty perfection. The espresso offerings are among the very best in the Gorge. Also, Monday pizza nights are so lovely and romantic, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside and watch the sunset over Mt. Hood.

All of the food looked amazing! It was hard to choose which pastry to get. My honey fig loaf was delicious and my boyfriend's coffee cake was delectable. It has a lovely atmosphere with fresh bread being baked right in front of you.
