VICR is my all time favorite! I have only ordered from the internet and I have never been disappointed.
Their uniqueness sets them apart and their quality is top notch! When my beans come they are evenly colored and glistening just right.
My thoughts:
-I enjoy the burnt sugar bliss of their Guatemalan. (It is deeper and more complex that most Guats.)
-I like to bathe in the deep butterscotch baths of their Costa Rica! (It’s the only one I have had that isn’t just flat and sweet.)
-Do you enjoy the complex depths of Sumatra? I think theirs has all the richness and flavor, but not the variability. (They are the first I have ordered from, that I can expect the same from each bag. They learned how to tame the tiger I guess!)
-Their Brazil and Columbian both breach the chocolate barrier, with slight hints of stone fruit dipped in decadent darkness!

Their Columbian is my favorite!

A rustic, old-timey coffee shop, this roastery gives off a vibe of comfortable familiarity; one that makes you feel as if you've been going there your whole life. The kindly cashier knew we wanted pastries as soon as we walked in, and after he started describing them to us, we couldn't say no. I paired a spinach and feta hand pie with a rich Americano - beans ground in house, topped with crema and with only a hint of bitterness - giving me the energy to start my day. Island coffee carries the island vibe; start here and take it slow; sit back and enjoy.

Cozy coffee shop with tasty treats, also is a fun place to explore interesting herbs and tea.

If Vashon Island is the heart of Puget Sound then Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie is the heart of Vashon. It's a little bit tricky to know where to order if you are not familiar with the place but so worth the effort. LOVE this place.

This place has history to it. Good coffee with live music and machines that define history. The connecting store has wide variety of spices, honey, clothing. Definitely a must visit place to know more about the Vashon island.

This place is a personal favorite!! Love their coffee and tea selection. Incredible baristas! I'm a big fan of there sasqueets shot dirty. (no longer on menu). So I've switched to an Americano and it was the smoothest coffee I've had in a long time!!

Cash tips, if tipping is something you take part in. I appreciate that there is one pos machine in town that doesn't ask me to add a tip.

Bring you own mug! Their pastries are incredible and perfect!! Leek and 4 cheese is always a winner with me if it's still available.

Great atmoshpere. Lovely deck. Great selection of pastries and unique coffee. We got the Bernardo and the Orange Mocha.

Lovely antiquated building with wooden floors, shelves, and counters. Large selection of coffees and teas. Has a small store here as well. The people are very friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Burnt beans, great pasties. I realize the Starbucks fans prefer burnt beans; not my thang. Don't think I'll be back (unless I'm in need of having my clothes smell like burnt toast for the day).

This is on our must stop list each visit to Vashon. The coffee was great and the history of the location is important in Seattle’s storied coffee past. There’s much more than coffee too, groceries, ice cream, local offerings, souvenirs, apparel, and a thriving social scene.

The staff was very friendly. They even gave our son a free scoop of vanilla ice cream.
