Coffee is always great. You can get a variety of coffee as they roast their own. From a medium to a dark roast which is hand picked and lovely in texture and flavor.
Ask about their pour overs where they make the coffee special. Delicious!

The espresso is so delicious that you will welcome the fact that it forever ruins all chain coffee shops for you. Not to mention lots of window seating in a downtown location - a people-watchers dream.

Great space. Feels very open and inviting. Great for a meeting or a place to study. Lots of windows and natural light. The service was great. Excellent coffee options. They roast their own coffee. Excellent quality.

Best Coffee in Vancouver. Their cup of drip coffee with vanilla and cream is just what soft pillowy dreams are made of. And the wallpaper is lovely. So happy to come here every time I do. Staff is always so friendly, quick, and awesome. Thanks, Compass.

Great coffee and atmosphere but they desperately need more than one employee working in the morning. Everytime I stop here itโs a 15 minute wait in line. I just leave and go somewhere else if there are more than 2 people in line.

We've been coming to Compass since John started roasting beans over on St. Johns. We still love that location, the coffee, the total and complete lack of pretentiousness.
Admittedly the coffee downtown is sick. As in so good. The atmosphere and interior design is really cool. Great pastries if they have any left (avoid the doughy vegan/gf options if you can). Nice location, good light. I like it.
But there's always the chance that you'll get some attitude. And frankly Compass in downtown Vancouver, I'm not interested in having my balls busted by some twerp who thinks they invented The 'Couve.
Sometimes you feel like going to Compass is a political statement or an oath you're swearing which is also a little weird.
I grew up here, I left, and I came back. I like to drink coffee. Be nice to me. Don't be ageist.

Not the biggest selection of drinks, but lots of seating and yummy pastries.

Big fans of the Goldie and their mocha. Lots of non dairy milk options. Friendly staff and very clean.

Interesting mix...looks like a Hallmark Christmas movie, but heavy metal was playing ๐
