Hole in the wall, beatnik vibe. Taste tested their Lux blend... Got a rich and spicy kick. Very good. Decided to get their roasted beans and make it at home

Zoe went above and beyond, with making a perfect mocha! the espresso whip is a must! I been looking for a delicious coffee place and it’s worth going out of your way to check it out.

Great coffee! This is truly a small community coffee shop with a non-pretentious vibe. My husband is crazy for their homemade pop tarts. It's a fun, friendly place to meet your neighbors and see local art. There is even a piano. The baristas are always down for a casual chat which is very refreshing in these lonely times.

Cool java on the east side. Hip but not self-consciously so. But if you're afraid of anything different and prefer to shop in Proctor this isn't the place for you.

Lux coffee is my safe haven. Every drink is beautifully crafted, the prices are affordable, the pastries are flakey, and the baristas don't just serve coffee, they also learn your name and are happy to see you when you walk in the door. Not to mention the doggie cuddles from the shop pups! Every friend I have taken here has been completely blown away by the quality of the coffees and teas. This shop is truly one of the greatest hole-in-the-wall gems in Tacoma and I stop by every single week.
Amazing coffee, amazing customer service, amazing dogs, amazing vibes. 10 out of 10!!!

I love Lux Perpetua! It's a dark and funky oasis with great coffee, always a welcoming barista, delicious treats and music I've never heard. Skip the mermaid and go Lux yourself.

The newest stapple in the McKinley/Eastside neighborhood. Locally owned and it shows! Always friendly barista's and great coffee.
I especially love that Lux always features local entrepreneurs & artists- from the coffee roast & tea they serve to the attention grabbing art on the walls. Something is always shifting or shaking in here and yet it always feels like a coffee shop should feel - providing space for representation of culture & connection

There was one barista and it took a long time to get to order. While waiting we saw a mouse, so...thanks, but no thanks.
Sorry for the blurry photo, he/she/them was fast and obviously hopped up on caffeine.

Love this spot. Great espresso and tasty treats. Don't know what I would have done without this neighborhood coffee shop this past pandemic year! A much needed spot to take work-from-home breaks.
