In response to the owner, someone made an executive decision to close all the bathrooms and not use anything reusable on bloomsday; My guess is so that they didn't have to tend the bathrooms or wash dishes. Line was out the door, long wait, but I still treated everyone with respect and tipped extremely well; despite the interactions with the barista.
Coffee was pretty good. Food was ok, but small portions and over priced. I prefer smaller portions, but it must taste better then this for what it cost.
Biggest reason I'll never come here again is the service. Barista with the dreads was extremely rude. I had 3 interactions with her and every response was short, snarky, and unwelcoming. I believe in spreading kindness, it's sad that she treats people this way. She called my name for my order, I pick up the food and drinks grouped together. She then says in a super rude slow tone "is your name Spencer? That is not yours". My thought was, why did you group them together and call my name then?
Lastly all bathrooms were "out of service" and the rude barista looked up and said "right out there" with a condescending tone pointing to the porta potty, really? Also not a single reusable item was around. Single use everything. I'm guessing this was because of bloomsday, glad to know the environment takes a backseat for busy business days. To me this place isn't what it preaches, just trying to be trendy.

If there is a better coffee spot in Spokane, I haven’t found it. Indaba gets it all right. The coffee and other food products are delicious. The environment is on-point with just the right amount of light and areas for those lounging around to chat and other sections for eating and scattering books and laptops for study. Best of all, while the coffee is supremely high level, the staff is very down to earth. You won’t be judged for not knowing what or how to order. My kids and I loved it and will be going back very soon.

The food was delicious and unique, and the staff was very kind. There was some construction happening in the building, but the cafe’s space was neat and clean. I had a good time with my relative.

I really, really love it here, it’s the only coffee I actually like and I love that they have vegan food options, but they mess up or forget about my order every time I come here. I’m not joking, I mean every time. And as someone who would rather eat batteries than cause any sort of inconvenience, I just deal with it, but it always makes me sad. I hate being this person, even though it’s great and I want to tell everyone to come here, I’ve just been let down too many times.

Beautiful coffee shop that knows how to make a delicious cup of coffee. Picked up a bag of their Lilac city medium roast for home and was not disappointed. I liked their variety of toasts, perfect for a lite bite. Inventive flavors too! Loved the strawberry banana peanut butter toast with coconut. Bonus: the staff was super nice even on extremely busy days.

A hidden gem of Spokane! Indaba staff made me the best butterscotch latte and avocado toast ever! Smooth espresso, tasty butterscotch, and frothy foam made a delicious hot latte. The avocado toast was AMAZING! I wanted another. I'll come back here every time I am in town.

This is a exquisite place! The chai is superb, and the espresso is top notch! Emily was very friendly and the baristas are so professional! This was my first time visiting Spokane and I highly recommend Indaba to anyone who is passionate about experiencing specialty coffee! Their branding design is simple, elevated, and polished.

The food was delicious!!! Very well priced. They were a bit slow but the service was worth it. Very multi age friendly :) charging ports available even at the bar. Handicap accessible.

Aug 20, 8am. I sat for twenty minutes waiting for a breakfast sandwich. Four people on staff and no service. They all flaked off customer service. Literally never made the sandwich nor remember anything.
Days later Aug 24, 1900 hrs. Staff was great conversational environment, like it has been for months. Apologies from the staff was unexpected. Giving that 1 star earned a 5 star. Recouping from a bad experience is having good staff.
Thank you.

Our favorite coffee spot in town. It is great place to take a break or get some work done. We love the location, interior, drinks and the vibe of this place.
