ChocMo Chocolatier & Café

Stopped by here quickly after eating at the Crabtree kitchen in the same building. This place is a chocolate lovers dream! All I ordered was the drinking chocolate and it was really good, like hot chocolate, but better quality. They have a large assortment of drinks, chocolates, and some breakfast items at a good price. It was very clean and the atmosphere was great. The service was slightly slow but very friendly.

After seeing the rave reviews of this place my husband and I decided to check it out and were very disappointed. We went to their new location near High Spirits and the menu is tiny, just sandwiches, crepes and a couple salads. My husband and daughter both got a crepe, one savory and one sweet, and neither was very impressive. I got the salmon salad and again was not impressed. I'm not sure what changed when they switched locations but 90% of what you see in the pictures here is no longer available. We were very confused and very disappointed. Will not be returning.

I took my family there for breakfast based on the wonderful reviews. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash after seeing a rave. The potato cubes were deep fried and the corned beef strips may have been deep fried as well. They were definitely crispy! The poached egg and sauce were nicely done although much of the egg white was missing. I suppose if you like fried food it would have been perfect. But it wasn't my thing. The Bloody Marys and the service were good.

I say this because what is reflected on the menu online is not and was not available to order. I asked for Sliders, Parmesan Fries, Fun Guy Chicken Sandwich and was told ALL of these items they did not have. (by kitchen staff upstairs).

So I ordered a regular burger and a bbq chicken sandwich. I have to say as a recommendation to update your menu and if you are offering other items in place perhaps it should be reviewed as to what is on that item. My point being that the BBQ chicken sandwich did not come with bbq sauce but rather a large serving of STRONG flavored Gorgonzola cheese sauce, or at least that is my assumption. In my opinion this was not a tasty sandwich.

The fries were good, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger.

We ordered chocolate PB cups and was less than impressed. No I don’t expect them to taste like Reese’s however, we didn’t feel it had a good ratio of PB to chocolate.

I understand the operation of possibly being on a limited menu due to the times were in. If that is indeed what happened, a simple update to your menu would be appreciated. Thank You.

By far the worst customer service experience I have ever had! Called in an order with no hurry or time crunch. Even came well after I was told it would be ready and it was not. No problem. Got home and realized they had forgotten multiple items. Called to let them know and got NO Apology! No offer of how to remedy this! RUDE..INCONSIDERATE...AWFUL!

This place is a must stop and have! We had the club sandwich, breakfast crepe, chocolate crepe and Nutella crepe and 2 Mocha’s … suffice to say, hands down the best darned chocolate delights from here to California. The club sandwich was the perfect amount of meat, vege and bread proportions and the aioli is soooo good! With good chocolate, Mocha tastes a whole lot better! Perfect!

Very tasty! I prefer brunch to have items on the menu that are not single items for a dish but also eggs/bacon/fruit on the side to change up the flavor and they did! (at reasonable prices, too.) Can’t wait for the new store to open!! (Crab cake Benedict pictured)

Everytime we have visited and this will be the last time, the service has been substandard. Either the staff are not trained or the people training them are incompetent. To work in the service industry you have to be friendly, attentive, multitask and set aside your pettiness. I would equate our experience to that of a Jr High bake sale. Furthermore, if this is your idea of good chocolate you really need to expand your pallet because this is sickeningly sweet with very little actual chocolate flavor. You might as well eat cheap Easter candy. They're several coffee shops in Poulsbo that actual know what they're doing. Never again!

Salad was very good, service was excellent, loved the coffee. Cranberry orange truffle devine!
Amazing space, very airy and bright. Beautiful branding, I was surprised that this was a local company. It looks like something you would see in San Francisco.
