Omg, the people are so lovely here! The coffee is absolutely AMAZING too!! I love the positive, funky vibe inside. This is the best coffee house ever, and I have been to A LOT of coffee houses!

Having come here since the day they opened, you could say I'm a regular. I love this place.... the atmosphere, the company, and of course, the coffee. I've been fortunate to meet some amazing people here, both locals and famous visitors. It's been a fun experience.

I highly recommend a late morning visit, when you can get a great cup of your favorite drink, sit and relax and just enjoy the vibe of this quirky hotspot. You'll fall in love.

A really friendly staff and warm coffee atmosphere greet you immediately as you step through the door. The fast WiFi and polite service will keep you here for hours.

The burritos are smaller than expected, but hit the spot. The beer option is a fan favorite after a good morning trail run or hike.

Nice little coffee shop in North Bend, with wine and beer if you need alcohol instead of caffeine! Friendly, cheerful staff; comfortable furniture for lounging around on while you visit and shop; a small, but good, selection of nibbles; a really good vibe. If you don't bring your own cup, their cups are compostable, and they have (quite beautiful) glass straws available instead of plastic. There's a few parking spots in front of the shop, but there's three more in the alley on the west side. A nice place to warm up after a chilly hike in the North Bend area!

Great cozy coffee shop featuring friendly people and good brew. They have several varieties of brewed coffee to choose from, all of which are good. Their pastries and lunch items looked great and those enjoying them nearby were all doing so with gusto.

Added bonus - local art and crafts on display for sale.

Great coffee, nice folks running things, good casual atmosphere. Let's hope things don't change much under the new ownership.

Amazing roast!
Margaret was kind and knowledgeable about making a good white chocolate mocha. Being a roaster myself, I’m pleased to see a coffee shop that roasts good batches of coffee and uses quality powders.

It's a cute little funky place. It reminds me of a college coffee shop that belongs in Berkeley or some other hippy, artsy college town. A bit dated but charming and there's something comforting in that. The coffee was okay; it did the trick. The woman working was extremely friendly and welcoming; she even washed out our to go cups that we brought in and, apparently, obviously needed it. I appreciate a local mom and pop shop. I could def call be a regular here.

Pioneer is one of 2 or 3 places in the valley where I spend my coffee dollars.

Why? First of all, the coffee is outstanding and the service is unparalleled. Period.

Second, It's a wonderful setting. It has all the required elements of a great neighborhood coffee shop. It's comfy and quaint. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, both of which are great for chatting and/or watching folks come and go. The exterior is mid-century art deco tavern, but that doesn't define it. The interior is eclectic antique and funky decor. But don't let that define it either.

Finally, both Pioneer and its owner-manager are cornerstones of the community. If there's a local event or fund-raiser going on, they are probably involved. There is never a sense that the community owes them anything, and hey give back to the community far more than they take from it.

And what more could you want out of a local business?

My go to place for excellent coffee in North Bend! Clean seating with an intimate atmosphere and free WiFi. The coffee is excellent and the baristas always seem to be spot on. The coffee is complimented by a nice selection of food, however the burritos could be larger for the price. They even have a small vegan selection which is a rarity.
