I love Narrative! I live about 20 minutes away but often choose to make that drive for their espresso with whole milk. The flavor is so smooth and velvety. They also offer a nice selection of sweet and savory pastries.
The employees are so warm and welcoming, always greeting you as you walk through the door.
The interior is equally as warm and inviting! Gorgeous exposed wood and an open “kitchen” area where you can watch drinks and food being made.
I would highly recommend trying Narrative Coffee!

Amazing atmosphere and good service, but food and drinks aren't great. The food options, especially the gluten-free options are underwhelming since they removed the skillet potatoes from the menu (too smokey), the gluten-free biscuits are especially disappointing. Also, the non-coffee drinks are consistently lukewarm, and there's a $2 upcharge for alternative milks, at most I have seen elsewhere is $1.
With a few changes, this place could be 5 stars again.

Great coffee spot/cafe. The pour overs were good with a selective coffee list. The real stand-out however was the breakfast. They have a very limited menu but what they do they do very well. The tart and the baked eggs are definitely things I go back and have again. The atmosphere of the cafe is wonderful exposed brick walls, light and airy with skylights. There's an honor bar in the back. And the entire place was very clean. Wish I lived closer I'd come here all the time.

Great offerings, great selection. Prices are at a level where this is more of a special occasion place than an every day place for me.
Coffee is very well done here and very tasty. The staff is friendly and professional.
The food offerings are unique and definitely healthy. Great experience, definitely recommended.

Tried this place out for the first time this week. We ordered the biscuits with shroomy graves, eggs Benedict, a mocha, a hot chocolate, and CC cookie. I very much enjoyed the Benedict, though my husband thought it tasted too strongly of lime (not lemon); he preferred the shroomy graves.
Neither of us loved our drinks. I did read that they add lime to their coffee, which would explain the taste. My eats-anything, chocoholic husband didn’t want to finish his HC.
Summary, food was very good; drinks, not so much.

Recently found Everett is the city with characteristics coffee shop. This coffee may look like a lot of other modern coffee shops, their staffs are knowledgeable about their coffees and so friendly. The staffs are willing to talk with their customers and get to know them. Their spacious seats are also good for working.

Great coffee place. Great atmosphere inside. They have a good selection of breakfast food and all the usual coffee items. Very delicious! Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and talented. They have a self serve drip counter as well for quick stops.

After eyeing Narrative from afar for some time, I was delighted to stop by this 4th of July! It was such a open, airy atmosphere from the moment you step inside, and I loved seeing local musicians’ work alongside a variety of coffee goods for sale. Then, you get to the super friendly counter where Alex let me take my time and gave a great recommendation for an iced oat milk latte with their house brown sugar syrup — truly a pleasure to drink, so smooth and even. The coveted salted chocolate chip cookie blew my mind. Need that recipe. My only regret is not taking home the “Rested” housemade coffee and milk blend in quart containers. I can’t wait to come back on my next trip to Everett.

Saw Narrative was featured in the official City of Everett recommended places to check out. Narrative did not disappoint! The gentleman saw me duck in from the rain and was very friendly and talked me through their coffee styles and offerings. Personable, and made even the newest coffee drinker comfortable with their menu. The breakdown of espresso of more "mild" to "adventurous" was fun. Side note: I am originally from the Silicon Valley, I have been extremely "blessed" with some superb coffee experiences from some pretty high labeled spots, so you guys are right up there!
Open space environment was well arranged. Music wasn't too loud. Open kitchen/prep space is cool to see the folks in action. Total pricing for an hand crafted espresso drink, solid breakfast, and tip was roughly $13. Yes, a bit pricey, but they earned it. Keep up the great work Narrative Coffee. Great service, mission, and products. I will put you on the map for anytime I am in the PNW!

One of my top 5 coffee shops in the world. Service and bean quality second to none. The kitchen cranks our some pretty amazing bites too. Biscuits and avo tartines are ridiculous!
