Dawn's Delectables Dessert & Sandwich Shoppe

We come here probably on average once or twice a week for the last couple years and have done some catering and boxed lunches for bigger parties/groups. ALWAYS a positive experience-great food and service. Some of the reviews on here say it’s over priced but I firmly believe you get what you pay for-and I’m willing to pay a little more for consistent quality food from a clean establishment and it’s a bonus that the staff is always friendly. It’s our favorite lunch place in town, and don’t even start me on the carrot cake and pumpkin bars- literally the best I’ve ever had.

I’m giving it a 3 star just because of the service that my husband & I received. I ordered panini sandwich with 2 cups of soup, but they only give us one cup. I ordered slices of cakes to go and I still have to go back to the counter to get it and they just hand it to me without even putting it in a bag. However, the food was delicious and the soup had the right saltiness in it, hence the 3 star.

Dawn's Delectables staff has consistently treated me with kindness when I visit. I value that greatly. They also make excellent coffee and food, so if you are downtown, drop in!

Excellent cinnamon rolls, and a super-inviting atmosphere! The staff member who took my order was very helpful. Highly recommended for a Saturday morning!

Soup and sandwich were absolutely delicious. I had an "Adult Grilled Cheese" with the roasted tomato soup. Brownie for desert was okay. Nothing special despite the restaurant's name. Only other complaint is that the my grilled cheese was on the small side considering the price, but it was absolutely delicious. Service was fine. Clean dining area and restroom. Surprisingly crowded for Tuesday lunch. Free WiFi. Free street and city parking nearby. A group of us met for a work meeting, and there was plenty of space.

I tried the pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw. It was very tasty. The pork was tender and the BBQ sauce with it was very good. I had a slice of German chocolate cake, very very good.
I only give 4 stars, because the price was a bit high. So if you have low budget, I would save for one of those special occasions.

Amazing farm-to-table cafe with polite, helpful, and young staff. Very high quality food for the price-point. As a former Kansas resident, the pulled-pork sandwich is about as close to real BBQ taste as you can get in a restaurant in this area of the states.

Fruit all tasted bitter or sour...the bagel was very good though, my aunts grilled cheese was good, wasn't interested in the fruit either, although the tomatoes are sour too??
My little one, loved her sandwich but her fruit was also sour.

The costumer service was EXCELLENT and I mean EXCELLENT. The little curly red headed girl was gorgeous by the way, and very sweet! I even complimented her. Ill be going in when I see her working now hehe.

The other employees were excellent at there jobs as well. Very kind, they make good conversations. Understanding. But the food took wayyy to long..45 mins for a grilled cheese, ham and cheese sandwich and a warmed up bagel?.... im glad we had nothing else to do that day..

Called a bit over 2 weeks ago to order a cake..wasn't sure if I needed 1 or 2 as people were rsvp'ing. Was told no problem to call at least a week before it was needed when I had more firm number of guests. Called today 8 days before pick up (10 days before event) and was told they are booked up...no cake...60 guests...no plan B...NOT happy.

What a wonderful spot for sandwiches, desserts, and coffee. We were also so happy to hear the dessert chef understands peanut sensitivities and has a huge selection that has no cross-contamination. We LOVE THIS PLACE. Full espresso bar and the chai and espressos we got were solid. You must stop here for a meal if you're in Centralia.
