Did not meet expectations at all. Who doesn’t love kebabs and some awesome Mediterranean food? With a sad heart I say that you probably won’t like it here. I called for take out and asked for their doner kebab plate, but of course all they had was chicken, which was a huge let down and a big problem for a place with such a greater variety. So I got chicken kebab, disappointed I couldn’t try their beef and lamb, but still with high hopes for sole awesome chicken (I mean, hard to get a chicken kebab wrong with such great flavors, right?). Then the employee told me that they had a new policy making customers pay for takeout before they came in, but when I tried reading my card numbers to him for at least five minutes, he did not understand me, their policy fell through, and he told me to pay in person. He also did not tell me my total over the phone. When I came to pick it up, I also bought some baklava that looked awesome in the window, and my total of the chicken kebab plate and baklava, no drink and nothing extra, came out to $28, which was upsetting, but I’m too nice to say anything in the moment. It all looked awesome, but I wish I could’ve eaten it with my eyes. Okay, it wasn’t torture, but it was extremely underwhelming. Chicken was a little tough in some areas, not as juicy as I’d hoped, and had virtually zero flavor, despite it being covered in their beautiful orange marinade. The baklava was great, but nothing super special. The best thing was definitely their rice, which was actually really exceptional, but overall I was not satisfied with the meal at all. Very underwhelming and overpriced, and not very good service. Would definitely advise against coming here, and I know this might seem harsh after coming once for one thing, but I can’t imagine their other dishes would fulfill my hopes either - I’m confused why it has 4.4 stars. Sorry Mosaic, I wish I wish it was better!

Random find and we went back. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Made sure everything was perfect for us and helped make choices. The food is incredible and the dessert are amazing.

Great variety! Delicious, healthy, and filling smoothies (non-alcoholic). Waffles, pizza, and other food items are available as well. They sold out of the watermelon smoothies, but the cantaloupe and pineapple smoothies were fantastic! Mosaic Cafe offers several varieties of healthy smoothies, including smoothies containing kale and spinach. Though a bit pricey, the portion sizes were great (shareable and plenty of bang for your buck) and you feel better knowing it's not just tasty but it's healthy too.
I like that they don't add any preservatives or extra sugar to the smoothies, it's all natural. They offer many flavor combinations for smoothies, infused water, and other items on the menu.
The $11.99 cantaloupe or watermelon smoothies were large enough to share. The largest watermelon smoothie on the menu was $19.99 and comes with fresh fruit kabobs. The lemonade was refreshing and comes in a large to go cup for a little over $5.
Mosaic Cafe also offers Turkish coffee and tea. The restaurant has an old world vibe and is cozy. The staff followed social distancing guidelines. Service time was pretty fast, especially considering how many people they serve. This should definitely be one of your boardwalk stops when visiting VA Beach. We can't wait to go back again!

The food was good. Nothing special from what I order. The service is pretty bad. I came with the family and no one came to take a order or welcome for like 15 mi. Then my family did get food on time but not mine it took longer and as you can see in the picture they did get me so little potatoes. There should be a manager to push this young people to work properly.

Had my breakfast and lunch on my last day at the beach. Definitely quite a few selections on the menu. Was able to get the family with simple bacon and eggs. I would have to say I am more impressive with the Turkish food during lunch. The Adana kebab wrap was tasty and close to the real thing. Good little spot to try it out if you are around.

The pita was good, but that's about it. Humus was practically tasteless and when asked to change it to lebni after a small amount was gone, we were told there was a charge and no apologies or any understanding we didn't like it. Pide was also very bland, you can see how much we liked it. 2 stars is a bit generous to be perfectly honest.

My wife and I enjoyed the Spinach Pide, American Breakfast and Adana Kebab wrap. I especially loved the Adana Kebab. Can't forget the Turkish tea either! Service and atmosphere were great too 👍

We stopped in for breakfast. It was so tasty. Our server was very friendly and polite. They even had traditional Turkish Coffee. That was a great experience! You have to give it a try if you stop in. ☺️
