Serendipity Java Bar & Eatery

We were looking for a quick lunch and coffee on the way back to northern VA. This place was SO good. The apple roll was worth it on its own but they also have great sandwiches & coffee. The staff is friendly, helpful & great at what they do. Will be back here another time for sure.

I’m sad I hadn’t discovered this cozy Java stop earlier, but genuinely thankful I finally ventured nearby. Serendipity Java Bar and Eatery is right next to the Staunton train station; you can even hear the rail cars go by! I had their dirty chai latte and blueberry scone, paired with a cool leather chair and some Office trivia. They boast a cozy and quaint atmosphere, with a genuine appreciation for well crafted coffee and freshly baked pastries, this is the perfect spot to relax and unwind in Downtown Staunton.

Absolutely phenomenal local coffee shop! The space is absolutely amazing and the food, especially what we had ( the strawberry cake ) was delicious. Everything was local and organic. The staff was also quick to serve and very helpful since the place was not super full. Highly recommend stopping by when in Staunton.

This is truly a gem! Located right by the Staunton historic train station. Tastefully decorated with antiques and fresh-cut flowers make your dining experience a true delight. A joint room features comfy leather seating - perfect for chilling and kicking up your feet after shopping downtown.
We had Vegetable lasagne with their own baked bread and it was absolutely delicious!!!!!! Not to mention the blueberry scone - yummy!! Everything is made right there from scratch. Support this local family operated businesses- you won't regret it!

Great staff, friendly and personable. Food is excellent and plentiful. Come hungry. And the COFFEE - OMG ☕ homemade breads and farm to table menu 🍞🥞

Everything is good - Latte perfect, Cinnamon Roll 5 stars for hugeness and taste! Lavender Blueberry pastry delightful. Staff top notch and knows their stuff. Super kind and welcoming. Go here!

Such a nice spot!! The latte was delicious, and the apple butter croissant was super tasty. The space is awesome: tons of natural light, comfortable, inviting, beautiful old building, super friendly owners/workers...will definitely be a regular. So happy to have this addition to downtown Staunton!

I had the best experience at Serendipity Staunton! The food was AMAZING! I had there made from scratch cinnamon roll and homemade biscuit sandwich! Sooo good!! Also had to try their cinnamon roll iced latte and it did not disappoint! Lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

We went to Serendipity for the first time today and our experience was perfect. Not only were the staff welcoming and friendly, the food and coffee was delicious! I’m appreciative that the bread is baked in house so we were able to know ingredients for our child with a food allergy. Highly recommend!

I don't usually leave a review, but this is an exceptional coffee shop. They serve great food and different types of coffee, even unique flavors, like blackberry & rosemary latte. But their hospitality is what really stood out. That alone makes this place one of my most memorable first visits and one of my most favorite coffee shops of all time! Outstanding!
