I’m in Baines at least once a week and it’s always a great experience! The baristas are always friendly, the atmosphere is chill, and the coffee is delicious. Plus, books!

I thoroughly enjoyed my cappuccino and especially my blueberry scone. The service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy. This will be my first stop when I go back to Scottsville!

They have great scones! I had the apple cinnamon one also sus book we saw the James River and got to explore a little bit of Scottsville.

We were here for the Harry Potter Halloween event, my biyfriend had begged me to go previously but we never got the chance. Such a cute little shop with plenty of books and friendly employees. Overall a great atmosphere.

Have stopped here twice for a place to get some work done and have a bite to eat. The hot chocolate is decent, and the raspberry white chocolate scones are really good. Love looking over the books and records.

Baine’s is a local staple and gem located in Scottsville. The coffee and full service espresso bar is high quality and delicious with lots of options to customize your drinks. They make (in-house) unique quiche and sandwich offerings that are comparable to the cost of other local, non-chain coffee shops. I could spend hours poring over their quirky book selection that features a good mix of classics, new releases, and local authors. But what is even cooler about this place is the initiative that they have shown in bringing local businesses together to pull off events that put Scottsville on the map. Keep an eye out on their local postings for cool events and their support of other local vendors.

I discovered this gem accidentally and am so glad I did! Scottsville is a great little town and this coffee shop use perfect here. The latte and scone I had were excellent, and the staff super friendly.

Decent coffee in downtown Scottsville! Plenty of seats, friendly staff, and good internet (relative to the rest of Scottsville ~10mps). I haven't had good experiences with straight double espressos, pour overs or cold brew, but iced and milk drinks are usually pretty good.

Delicious scones and coffee. A little pricier than I'd prefer but really no higher than Starbucks. Good place for relaxing, studying or working in peace and quiet.
