What a great find! Delicious breakfast sandwich, coffee was perfect, baristas were super nice and friendly! Will definitely be back when I’m traveling to and from NC from MD, or headed this way. Come here rather than the big chains!!!

Locally-owned, wholesome and friendly.
What, you need more words from me? Okay.
Staff is wonderful, and always ready to help. The food is no-nonsense, straightforward brunch food. No, you're not going to write home about the sandwiches, but you're going to be glad you chose to stop in here instead of McDonald's (speaking as someone who loves a McGriddle).
The walls are packed with local art, some for sale, some not. It feels a lot like sitting in a coffee shop in any given metropolitan area, but it's sitting right in the middle of the countryside.
All in all, this is a great place to go and get a quiet cup of coffee while working on a screenplay or debugging some code.
I plan on seeing if I can find some people to have a board game session with in the near future.
If none of that convinces you to stop in, nothing will!

Okay, first of all... Iced Chai with lavender and coconut flavor made with oatmilk... ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. That being said, this is probably going to be my new coffee shop. I just moved here from Arizona and was having a hard time finding anything local that wasn't a Starbucks. This was a 30 minute drive for me, but I decided to try it out anyway, and damn I wasn't disappointed. They have a huge menu, the friendliest staff, and they even have merch and art on the walls for sale!! You walk in and immediately feel cozy. I will absolutely be back. Thank you for making me feel so welcome in this new state ❤️

I came in a few days ago for a couple of latte’s, a few bakery items and a breakfast sandwich. The girl that was working there, I believe her name was Amy, was the sweetest! She was working by herself and had multiple people in line, but was fast and efficient. I loved everything I purchased! Highly recommended this place! The coffee shop is very quaint!

It was me and my fiancés first time here and we had an amazing experience. From the friendly staff to quick service and delicious coffee with unlimited options, we will definitely be back! Highly recommend the lavender vanilla latte and iced filthy chai 😊

I love the space, I felt the need to add photos to show how many tables and places to sit there are. A great place to do a little work or studying, they even have USB ports in their outlets. Coffee was good, as was lunch. We loved playing some board games here as well

Common Grounds is exactly the kind of place Ladysmith needed. The owner and all of the employees are all great humans. Great outside seating, and comfortable indoor chairs.
To die for straight up latte.

Was really hoping to like this place and went in several times hoping it would get better. I order the same thing each time and the price is always different. The latte was $2 more than Starbucks and was not better than Starbucks. I need fat free milk and when they don't have they use Lactaid without telling me. I only know it happened because I asked why my drink tasted strange.

They have gluten free options. Everything I had from there taste fresh. You pay for quality. Their French vanilla latte with oat milk is the best.
