My favorite bookstore/coffee/wine/candle shop. Stop by to grab a drink and stay for a candlemaking class or weekly karaoke. Never a shortage of fun!

The book club is one of my favorite places to go during the week for a cup of coffee and a quiet place to get some work done. All of the staff are so nice & informative. The bartenders are always a joy to see, there’s a great book selection & Thursday night karaoke is sooo much fun.

This coffee/ wine bar is such a beautiful addition to Olde Town. Looooove the vibes, very sophisticated. Love seeing my black owned businesses doing so good! Being that they are still new they have been training staff and making changes here and there to best accommodate their customers. Juneteenth was one of the busiest weekends and I still felt like the owners were very expensive and accommodating even under pressure.

We had the pleasure of spending three weeks in Olde Towne Portsmouth and The Book Club quickly became one of our favorite hang outs. It's a great space that includes excellent coffee, a nice selection of books to purchase and even a few freebies, amazing desserts, a candle bar (part of another business) and more recently the addition of select wines. April, the owner, is warm and friendly. We enjoyed getting to know her and wish her all the best in this endeavor. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and tell her Charlotte and Juan sent you!

The Book Club is more than just books. It's a spacious place to hang out, work (free wi-fi) and enjoy a great cup of coffee! ☕️ And you can now enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer with friends while you catch up on what they're reading!Thanks April!

Husband and I went to a valentine event this evening hosted by the owners, amazing. Live saxophonist and poet, great food and most of all great vibes. Will definitely go again.

Great atmosphere! Awesome vibes...the live bands are amazing! The owners are very friendly and makes the customer's feel amazing 🤩

What a great addition to the High Street corridor in Downtown Portsmouth! As a local writer, happy to see a bookstore with such a beautiful design and a variety of ethnic books . Kudos to the owners!
