This place is a Lynchburg classic. Ownership changed a while back but they honoured the past and didn't change anything. It was bought by a long time regular. Prices are great food is comforting. The only drawback is that they do not take cards for payment, but I'm sure that helps keep the prices low.

Went today for the first time after the new owner. So disappointed. I always order French toast and steak, they've changed the steaks. Handed me a crumpled up steak that they didn't bother to unfold and it wasn't done at all. Granted, I order rare. But I've ordered rare a hundred times at the KK and it always comes out perfect. This steak was sickening. On top of that, the French toast had been dipped and cooked for such a short time it was still eggy and soggy. I'll probably not go back, I expect a certain experience and I was extremely let down. Staff is still great and eager to please but seeing the steak made me sick.

Super friendly to out-of-towners! Food was on point and pricing was great!

I used to thoroughly enjoy this diner...good food and great service. That is, until I was approached personally by the owner one morning and requested to leave because I was sngle and "taking up family space." It speaks of poor character when the wait staff has to apologize for the greedy, low-class behaviors of the owner. Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm at this establishment.

A truly relaxing and “old town feel” atmosphere. Friendly staff, quick service and just a truly good American breakfast. Down home good food, a local favorite.

Well established place, very busy but in and out in 45 minutes. A popular place.

A quaint little stop with yummy and inexpensive food. Very much a step back in time. They do take credit cards, but that's a newish development. I'd absolutely recommend eating there even if the ribeye is a little lackluster. They are kind and your coffee cup is always full. Also, free WiFi. :)

Some of the nicest people in Lynchburg come to this place. The customer leaving as I was entering, held the door and then I was greeted with a huge smile by Gayle, who I now know is the owner. She even came to sit with me for a few moments to welcome me there for the first time. Rhe food was amazing and so reasonably priced and Krista, my server, was awesome! It has a family vibe to it that you just don't get in most franchises. I mean, Krista even remembered a customer's regular meal. Please make it your business to drive the extra mile down Timberlake Road and visit this spot.
