Bacon did not look cooked on breakfast sandwiches, so I did not eat them. I ordered cinnamon roll online, they did not have any when I picked up my order. I was not offered a refund for the item. I was given a muffin instead. I would have preferred a refund. People are nice, but I won’t be coming back.

Thank You! This is the closest I’ve come to experiencing a true cappuccino since I was in Rome three years ago. You brew this drink as it is intended, like they do where it was invented. Thank You, the search is over!

I have come here a few times and usually the coffee and breakfast sandwiches are great.. not this time. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit and was told after it came out that they were out of biscuits, so it came on a croissant instead. Totally fine, I can understand miscommunication with the kitchen. I took the sandwich to go, and later opened it to find 3 tiny squares of egg and a piece of bacon on a burnt croissant. Only reason this isn’t a 1 star review is because the few times i’ve been here previously, the food/coffee was fantastic. Off day I guess.

My husband and I were staying in Harrisonburg for a wedding and decided to swing by Black Sheep on our way home. We’re both coffee aficionados and love to stop in local coffee shops whenever we’re out of town. The coffee shop was busy, which is always a good sign, and also had an awesome vibe! Cool decor, good places to sit, a good variety of drink options. Despite being in a morning rush, the baristas were friendly and moving quickly to keep up with orders. I’d love to give 5 stars based on all this, and I was hopeful when our mochas came out looking super tasty and beautiful on top, but the coffee was super weak unfortunately. It had the chocolate flavor you expect with a mocha, but the coffee flavor was barely there, and it wasn’t super hot either. It was also a little on the pricey side. So I’d give it two stars based solely on the coffee—but cute place!

I got a positive vibe from the place. Service was good. Servers were friendly. Place was pretty full but weather was nice enough we found an outside table. There are only four or five outside tables. Paid almost $5 for an Ethiopian coffee pour-over. No reflection on the barista but whoever roasted it didn't get it sufficiently done because it had an overpowering green plant flavor. Not at all what I was expecting from an Ethiopian Coffee Bean. My companion who also ordered the same said the flavor reminded him of fermented grass...

It was nice! The coffee was decent, very hidden location made it difficult to find. Not a fan of them NOT asking for your name for orders because I grabbed the wrong sandwich.
Food tasted great though! Taste was worth the price, but portion size was not.
I got an iced vanilla latte and it was decent, both grateful and disliked the fact it wasn't sweeter.

Ordered a man ice mocha and BEC on their homemade biscuit (the baked goods are all hand made) we’re amazing. Easily one of my favorite coffee shops.

I do not normally write reviews, but my family and I left so unsatisfied, I feel the need to. We decided to stop at this local coffee shop on the way home from our trip. It had great reviews and seemed like a wonderful cafe. That was not the case today.
The girl up front taking our orders was great and doing a lot of the work making drinks. Our sandwich orders were somehow forgotten and made incorrectly. Croissant on one sandwich was very burned, the other was supposed to be a croissant, but it was a biscuit. We waited quite awhile. My mother in law had a sandwich on a biscuit and it was extremely dry. My goat cheese and tomato on a croissant was pretty good, but that’s hard to mess up.
We had an americano and cappuccino to start with, but they were not great, extremely bitter. I ended up ordering a hot chocolate hoping that would be better. The hot chocolate had a faint chocolate flavor and was watered down.
One of the girls was on her phone texting while the other two employees were working hard trying to get food and drinks out. I hope this wasn’t why our order was forgotten, took so long and was messed up, but seems most likely the reason.
This place has the potential to be amazing, the vibes here seem awesome. I’m not sure if we hit it on a bad day, but our expectations were not great to begin with, which this place did not reach, we left disappointed after spending about $35 for three people. The best thing here I had was the bottled Apple & Eve apple juice.

Very cute shop. Our barista was friendly and helpful. They have lots of flavors to add to your drink. I had the maple spice and it was delicious.
