One of my favorite local eateries! They source from local farmers, have unique and tasty (and healthy!) menu items, and very friendly service. This is a great place for to grab a quick bite (they've got delicious premade wraps and salads), grab dinner for your family on the way home (frozen homemade soups and a fresh baked loaf of multigrain bread), or dine in with friends (indoor and outdoor seating). They've got vegan and gluten free options, as well as meat - something for everyone!

great food and wonderful service! and a friendly atmosphere! I had a breakfast bowl there yesterday! Yummy! But in all in honesty eating a bowl at A Bowl of Good is an excuse for me to eat a joy bar! Just saying...

Mom and I had heard about Bowl of Good and wanted to try it sometime when we were in the area so we headed to Harrisonburg on a very rainy day ( we live about 45 - 60 min south of Hburg) and indulged in a tasty bowl of soup and a yummy ginger cookie. The staff was friendly and helpful in deciding which soup. My mom and I were not disappointed! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting as well. If soup is your thing then Bowl of Good is a MUST for you! It was worth our 45-60min drive!

Absolutely delicious food, with a moderate price tag and a widely varied menu. Usually busy around lunch time but even so the staff is friendly and professional and move the line along very quickly. Great spot to grab lunch if you want to take a step outside the center of Harrisonburg

I've eaten at a A Bowl of Good several times, and I can't speak about it highly enough. This one-of-a-kind eating establishment provides a wholesome mix of good, filling, ethnic meals using locally grown meats and produces. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable, has good lighting, and is broken up into several seating arrangements. The food is prepared quickly, tastes delicious, and leaves one feeling comfortably satisfied.

Saturday mornings boast a wonderful breakfast buffet with ethnic options as well as some "normal" fare. For other meal times, you order from the menu board behind the register. If you like coconut, you've got to try their Tom Kha Gai Bowl. This dish from Thailand is simply delicious.

Each time we've eaten at A Bowl of Good, everyone in our party, including our teenage son who can be a bit picky, has been very pleased with the quality and taste of their meal.

Things I love about this place: they have a premade section where you can grab a sandwich or my favorite, the garbanzo beans salad and a drink. Reasons I stopped eating here for dine in: the food is sometimes inconsistent in flavor and quality. Week go one time and love something and the next time it will only be ok. I'll give it a chance again soon, maybe they've gotten better.

Stopped on our way through town. Good choice! The chicken soup was tasty with just the basic ingredients. The portions for little kids were just right. Wish I was hungrier when I came through, as I would have eaten even more! Will come here again if ever in the area.

Everything here tastes amazing! I recommend the Tom kha Gai, the lettuce wraps, and a little cup of cherry chia seeds for dessert.

Simply a lovely place to eat, great food (love the Bangkok Bowl), exceptionally friendly staff. I frequent the EMU location more (the one attached to Ten Thousand Villages). Very nice vibe...AND the Port Republic location shows World Cup games....goaaalllll !!!!
