Sweet Beans Coffee Bar

While their coffee may be great, I am very disappointed with the customer service at this establishment. My s/o was nice enough to pick me up a cappuccino today. He waited for 25 minutes for 1 large cappuccino. He said there were two other folks who ordered ahead of him so he took them into consideration when waiting. After 25 minutes of waiting and watching the girls behind the counter just talking to each other, he asked if he could just get his money back and was told that his wait time was the normal amount of time for a speciality drink to be prepared. That response is utter nonsense for two reasons. #1 I ordered a cappuccino and a bagel from there yesterday and it literally took less than 10 minutes foe both to be prepared. And #2 when I worked customer service there is no way in hell I would have even said something like that to a customer.

Great place. First coffee shop that I've been to that offers Death Wish coffee. My wife tried the pineapple cider they offer and enjoyed it. Lots of interior space to be able to sit and enjoy the company of friends and family.

Best coffee shop in town. Relaxed cozy atmosphere with delicious coffee, fresh made pastries and an amazing tea selection. Add onto that some great brews on tap and Sweet Beans is a one-of-a-kind must see in Hampton. Whether you're just visiting the area or you're a local Sweet Beans is the place to be.

I think I stumbled upon a gem here. Saw people walking out of here with coffee after my haircut at the great clips nearby and my first impression when walking in was a friendly greeting from their baristas and second impression was a magnificient BEER WALL. Could it be? I continue walking in to confirm that this isn't a mirage but indeed a beer wall with tons of awesome local beers on tap.
It's 930am so I curb my appetite for beer (to avoid looking like a raging alcoholic) and settle for an iced latte with some sugar free caramel and a delicious pb choco chip cookie. Both items amazing. Especially the iced coffee cubes in the drink (GENIUS)

Yea I'm a fan now. Haven't even had beer yet. Thank you Sweet Beans I wish I had gotten the names of your employees because they were awesome in introducing me to it all. See you again soon!

This place always has the best coffee, I love it so much. And the atmosphere is great too, always nice to find a place with a low key feel to it.

Amazing customer service! They also have a great selection of food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Superb atmosphere with original artwork, a chalk wall, and board games! If you haven't been here, you're missing out!

Visited this place for the first time because I thought it would be an alternative to Starbucks. Not, the girl at the cash register didn't seen very knowledgeable or Customer service oriented for a new Comer. I'll keep going to Starbucks.

What to say...hmm..delicious coffee! Would highly recommend if you're in Hampton. Coffee and the numerous selections, you can't go wrong! They also have different beers in their own dispensing system, neato! Would recommend!

Only place I know of in Newport News where you can get homemade kolaches. Their soups and espresso drinks are also delicious. It's a great local place. Give it a try!

Oh Sweet Beans.... there's no need for a 'Welcome Home" sign at Sweet Beans, you walk in and feel like family! Trivia night, although I rarely contribute to any points, is a blast! The coffee is great, the snacks are great, the cookies are amazing.... the cookie dough is to die for! All around wonderful experience every single time I visit! I highly recommend Sweet Beans to anyone looking for a place to chill without having to hide behind a laptop or a cell phone, there's just no need!
