Love this family ran place!! The people are always friendly and I always find something to take home. I'm a local artist and they have some of the best fine art in town at great prices!!
Such a cool store. It's sort of organized by categories but you'll have to go into many separate rooms that are not connected to see everything they have to offer. They have A LOT of stuff so it takes a great deal of patience if you go there with something specific in mind.
Splendid antique/junk/thrift store! I have been shopping there for many years and it is one of my favorites. Most prices are pretty good. Merchandise is constantly changing… you never know what you'll find. Also, the Habitat Store is just around the corner, so I make sure to hit both whenever I'm in C'Ville. If I have one complaint, it's that the owner doesn't wheel and deal. She prices things to sell and usually won't budge. I enjoy a little haggling. Other than that, Circa is a bargain hunter's dream!
I used to dislike this place for the old used stuff feel but then I found a set of 6 Pimpernel placements in perfect shape for $9 so I think you just have to find your gem.
Best used furniture store in Charlottesville. This is not necessarily a place for high-end antiques. However it is extremely useful if you would like interesting furniture on a budget.
A fun place to find furniture of eras past. If someone in your life has a love for retro or antique things, this is an ideal place to shop. You can find so much from electronics to fabrics and tableware to jewelry.
I have shopped here for years, spent hundreds of dollars in this store, and not ONCE has an employee greeted me when I walk in. I usually forgive it because they often seem busy. Today, however, I walked in 15 minutes after opening and was clearly the first customer of the day and the only one in the store. The employees were chatting at the cash register and turned to look as I opened the door. They looked at me and every single one of them looked away without saying a word. Not only that, but I passed several of them as I was browsing and they all walked past me without speaking.
I’m not expecting them to bend over backwards or anything, but how hard is it to say Hello when someone walks in your store?
This might be the most sprawling antique shop I've ever been in. I came here just to browse for a bit and honestly in an hour I feel like I saw a fraction of their goods. From furniture to glassware, art and guitars. There was hardly anything they didn't have a little bit of if you like old stuff. Definitely worth looking especially if you want some large furniture pieces of which a lot of space is taken up by.
I love, love, love Circa. I have to limit my visits, only because I want to buy everything in the store lol. One of my favorite places in Charlottesville! My grandpa was an antique fiend and the store reminds me of him.
