Stopped in for breakfast. Had the pancake, bacon and egg meal. Pancake was light and fluffy. Eggs were well cooked. For a treat I got the almond croissant-very good. Would definitely try again.

My wife and I visited here on a Saturday late morning. We figured we would stop in and get some coffee from a local place instead of a big chain. It was busy. My wife wanted a regular drip coffee. Nothing fancy. I went for more of a speciality coffee. I went to order on the convient pad they had for people waiting outside.
I put in my wife's order. She wanted some room in it to add creamer and sugar. When I was presented with the option not to fill it full, I was kind of taken aback. They graciously listed the price for that service as free. I thought, "Well, no kidding." It sure beats being charged extra for less product. I rolled with it and splurged on that freebie.
I ordered a pumpkin spiced latte with an extra shot of espresso. My wife's drink came out first. I gave it to her along with two creamers and a packet of sugar. As she fixed her coffee, I returned to the window to wait for mine. After a long while I got mine. I thought it was pretty good. Just on that alone would rate about 4 stars.
The reason for the low rating is my wife's coffee. I don't know if it really qualified as a coffee. It seemed that the hot water was waived near the grounds and it somehow managed to pick up some of the flavor. It was extremely weak. Now I admit that adding creamers to a coffee will change the taste and make it weaker. However, there was absolutely no way that two creamers could make the coffee that weak. I did have a sip of it to see how bad it was. Now, I have been known to drink bad coffee before, but this was bad enough for me to tell her to throw it away. We had already walked away and didn't want the hassle of the long line to get a replacement.
It seems to me that they are more concerned with the fancy drinks then getting the basics done correctly. Perhaps they should go back to the lab and figure out how to get their drip coffee done correctly.
Oh, if you get a large coffee, don't count on the lid fitting correctly. Is is a hair larger than the cup. Definitely not a lid for traveling. I had to forgo one on my latte.

From Atlanta on vacation we wanted to check this place out. When we got there they were very welcoming And did not seem to answer the Questions well. Although the restaurant is cute, the space planning and seating is awful! It is crowded and no space for anyone to sit. I'm sure that it violates all covid guidelines. The chairs were broken. Everyone had to squeeze through to go to the bathroom in the middle of my chair and table because there just isn't enough space. Not to include an employee was cutting in boxes and opening up inventory in the middle of the hallway to get to the bathroom. Although the food was good it is overpriced. I would not go back.

Food was not great, flavorless but expensive. nice setting with outdoor seating

The latte with oat milk was ok nothing special. I didn’t liked the fact that the taste of milk was more prominent than coffee.

If you are serious about coffee, you should at least try. They roast their own beans. Can the roast be better? Yes. But we are talking going from A to A+ better. You don’t find this kind of shop around in America. Better than Blue bottle in Georgetown. Customer service was getting better, after all they are still in the building stage and employees come and go, mostly part time. So it’s easy to criticize their ordering experience but it’s understandable. Bottom line, they make good coffee and they don’t take it for granted.

Great espresso! Beans Roasted onsite! Trust me, I have search the area and country for good espresso and roasted coffee beans.

Great coffee but even better breakfast! I have tried almost everything on their menu and have yet to be disappointed. And don't get me started on their homemade biscuits...This is the perfect place if you're looking for a hip/modern coffee shop with chill restaurant vibes. Stomping Ground in Del Ray used to be my go-to breakfast place but Origin is slowly pulling me away. Give them a try! (There is ample seating indoors but plenty outdoor chairs/tables)

We went there on a Saturday to see what all the fuss with this new place was about. Was really excited to have a good coffee shop in Pentagon City since pickings are slim outside of Starbucks. The cashier couldn’t seem to be bothered - looked completely disinterested and told us several times she’d be right with us even though it was unclear what she was doing in the meantime. But it was a Saturday, so no hard feelings there. Then we were told all their pour overs weren’t an option despite being on the menu. We couldn’t be bothered since we didn’t want whatever mocha frappe latte stuff they were actually offering, so we just left. The interior looks cool but they seem more focused on positioning themselves as a cool/legit coffee shop rather than actually having legit coffee options.
