I've been here twice and I'm solely giving this place a 5-star based on my experience this afternoon. I just finished eating the BEST GLUTEN FREE sandwich I've EVER had (and as a diagnosed Celiac 18 years ago, I've had my fair share)! The bread looks/tastes like it's actually made in-house (is it?!) and looked SO good (and unlike any gluten free bread I've had before) that I had to call them back to confirm that it actually WAS gluten free before I bit into the deliciousness in front of me. It looks like focaccia bread and the texture was heavenly- I'm used to most gf bread being a little on the dryer side and breaking into crumbles after every bite - NOT this bread! On top of it, the (reuben) sandwich was huge and I'm not ashamed to say I ate every. last. bite. Albeit a short interaction, the staff were great and even upsold me on a gf cookie, which I can't wait to try after my current food coma wears off. ;) Trust me when I say this bread deserves a special shoutout on the home page of the website (not just after you click on a sandwich option and notice there's a choice of gf bread for a small $1.00 upcharge). Whether or not I had Celiac's or just a gluten intolerance, it'd be great to know this is an option upfront!

Cool spot for rotating beers and great coffee/tea options. Staff is always a joy to chat with. Great concept!

We have been there for breakfast, coffee and happy hour drinks. Always have had a great experience.
Their breakfast sandwiches and snacks are always fresh and well made, never disappoints. I am not a coffee drinker but my wife loves their brews whatever they variety is.
This is also a great place to have a happy hour drink.
The staff is excellent. Special kudos to Jeremy and Ryan for always being attentive and customer focused.
St. Elmos is a great add to the neighborhood.

I go to this coffee shop frequently. Because sometime I love it and sometimes I hate it. Why I love it is because it's a nice cozy trendy coffee shop. And if its my lucky day then the barista of the day will make my hot caffe latte the right way. The right way is simply a nice smooth looking milk foam on top. But sometimes they give you a latte with just flat milk all the way to the top of the cup. This frustrates me because I am a coffee person and the right cup of coffee makes my day. So my suggestion to this coffee shop is please train all your barista to have a similar set of standards on how to make a caffe latte. Which all starts from how to steam the milk the right way, all the way of not letting espresso sit too long in a cup and pouring the milk in the pitcher into the cup the right way. I am sorry but it is disappointing when a coffee shop doesn't have standards and it is hit and miss every time. On top of that spending almost $4 for a 20oz cup of latte and it not being done the right way is simply upsetting. STANDARDS and COSISTENCY are important. On top of that baristas need to understand that customers come for coffee for different reason. So please make it right and be consistence. Because either you are making someone's day or your ruining someone's day.

I'd have loved to review your food, instead I have to review the service which left me pretty unhappy.

If your staff doesn't want to serve unmasked customers, please put a sign on the door letting people know. I can't review the food because no one at your cafe wanted to take my order. Stood in line, those in front of me (all masked) got their orders taken. When it was my turn, I waited and waited and waited. The employees would look over at me and then continue on their way. I finally gave up after several minutes of this and left. As soon as I walked away one of your staff members stepped right up to take the order of the masked gentleman behind me. As I said, if you only want to serve the masked, please make it a publicly advertised policy.

Wonderful addition to Old Town North. Great coffee, baked goods and a full bar if you want something a bit stronger. I have never had a hard time finding seating and they added some umbrellas to their outside tables to help with the summer heat. The staff is friendly. This location is much more modern in style than the eclectic original location in Del Ray.

Great location, nice staff wonderful eat out side facilities but the coffee is not remarkably good and the pastries are not very good at all. They do have a happy hour that starts at 3:00 I believe and offer a $5 glass of wine on weekdays. They are lovely to dogs and have treats and water bowls.

Their sandwiches are good. They run out of stuff, but are SUPER good about giving you a ring or making a more than fair substitution. There aren't any coffee and sandwich places I care about, except this one. Great online ordering system, quality ingredients and darn good coffee (maybe too good, I shouldn't drink this much!).

Ordered a large latte—Thank goodness I got the large because it was only 3/4 full (even with the foam). When I grabbed it it felt super light, then I looked in and yup—3/4 full. Wah wah. Taste was kinda burnt in flavor. Breakfast burrito was good, but no napkins served with it—not so great for takeout, and didn’t realize until I had already left. There were no sugars/sweeteners set out, so I had to ask for that too. So, yeah, won’t be returning. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Stopped by to try something new after finishing my run. Good coffee and friendly staff. Really nice place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. I also had the breakfast burrito which I could tell was fresh with homemade vibes.
