Best bakery in Montpelier! I LOVE the ham and cheese Croissant! Great coffee and espresso too! Always greeted with a smile. I love this place!

Beware your waistline! It's really hard to say no to the stuff in here so only walk in the door if you're going to order their baked goods in addition to their delicious drinks. The the treat is worth it but this is all the butter all the sugar all the flower all the time. And it's done well.

My husband and I lived in Vermont for a little over a year and we went to Birchgrove once a week if not more. Now that we've moved I am constantly craving their cupcakes, cookies, pretzels, ice cream sandwiches.... need I say more? I've lived from one coast to the other- 4 states in total and Birchgrove bakery still stands out amongst many other great eateries.

The only scones I have ever eaten that don't have loads of sugar. I found this place by chance my first morning in Montpelier. I would buy a pastry here every day!

Nice place, good Sunday donuts, but they wouldn't let my family use the bathroom. It was a ways off the main drag and inconvenient to not have a bathroom available give there's no other business close by.

Easily the best pastries in Vermont. Everything is made in small batches, from scratch, with as much local ingredients as possible. And the cakes are gorgeous!
