This café is a gem right at the heart of scenic Manchester. The food and beverages are excellent, the staff are friendly and professional, the decor and atmosphere are warm and welcoming, and best of all the café is located in the best independent bookstore in the country. I love nothing more than a cappuccino and a BLT while reading a book at one of the high tables! In the short time since it’s opening, Bonnet and Main has become a community hub for people who live in town and a destination for visitors to Southern Vermont. Highly recommended!

I don't review, this is new to me and I wrote a review but it didn't go through, novice, yes, so here I go again. I wrote this due to our experience as it was not good.

Anyway, I started off in my first review by writing, "What happened to the Spiral Press Cafe?" Well, it's been a while since we've all been to Manchester. So we went on our usual Northshire Bookstore venture and off to lunch in the same building that we usually go, but it was different, a lot different!

The person who took our orders was rude and frustrated by us, we were a larger party with children, the food wasn't great, the options for children were terrible and it was quite expensive for what you got and the service was slow.

On this visit to Manchester we were surprised by how many more choices there are in Manchester now than our last visit, which leaves us all saying that we don't need to come back here to Bonnet and Main.

But I need to note something. We all read the reviews on other platforms first before I eventually felt compelled to write this. There were very few, and I mean very few reviews of this place. I am now convinced that there are some bogus/fake reviews on these platforms perhaps by the owner or their friends because they differed drastically from our experience, and the place was very quiet when we were there.

Duly noted from a prior reviewer, a few of us had scones too and they were not fresh at all. In fact, quite a bit of our food wasn't fresh. One of our party had just carrot cake and they suffered with a terrible stomach. Maybe they're just not busy enough.

Everything we had was incredible. We ended up coming in for a breakfast sandwich each day we were in town. Whoever came up with the breakfast bahn mi deserves an award. That sandwich alone made the drive from Philly worth it

Always a favorite! 1st visit since their name change (was the Spiral Cafe). Food is still delicious, cafe is clean, mask are required unless fully immunized.

Great pig pile sandwich. Cozy little place with ample seating. All in all an awesome ambiance, esp when snow is all around.

Coffee is good so is food. Very cozy vibes.

They refuse to give out a cup for tap water. Not even allowed an empty cup to fill in the bathroom. The only choice for water is to buy a plastic bottle of water. Not environmentally friendly 😡

Coffee was OK, carrot cake was good but cashier on register was openly rude attacking me and becoming hysterical because I took my receipt from the register after she stepped away and left me waiting, saying I was breaking COVID protocol!

Its just like Tardis, smaller on the outside, bigger on the inside..

Great lattes, breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. You have to get the cinnamon bun!! Great service too.
