Rock Reef Cafe

one of the best places we ate at while visiting capitol reef. food was great, prices reasonable. some of the other restaurants in the area felt like tourist traps, rock reef cafe did not. solid choice.

The service was slow, the waitress never came back to fill our drinks, and I had to ask for the bill. The chicken tenders were frozen, processed strips that didn't seem like real chicken. One of our party ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken patty was very chewy and almost inedible.

We got a very large takeout order. They were prompt and brought it to our car. The pizzas were not edible because there was zero sauce. We had to throw them away. The steak sandwich and salads were good. We were quite disappointed and we had been looking forward to it based on the other reviews.

Stopped here with our party of 8 grands and 6 adults on a very busy Sunday over the Fourth of July weekend. Seriously understaffed for the volume and yet food was quick and super tasty! The restaurant was spotless! One server, one bus server and we could only see one line cook. Super impressive this restaurant handling such volume with such grace under pressure….we will come again no question!

Surprisingly excellent lunch just outside capitol reef national park. Food comes out fresh and hot and with very generous portions. All 4 dishes we ordered (burgers, fish and chips and pizza) were very tasty and well prepared

We had a fabulous breakfast on our way out of Torrey today! So much food for the price! If we are ever in Torrey from Michigan we will be stopping!

Waiter never smiles, not very good as a waiter, we are locals and would not recommend. I think the pizza dough is frozen! And the fish and chips have very thick breading and not cooked all the way.

The cafe was packed last Friday night. Lluvia waited the whole inside herself and her son took care of the outside. Very efficient and so polite. The food was great so kudos to the kitchen as well. Definitely enjoyed our time there!

Great food! Loved the shrimp fajita tacos! Portions are fantastic!

Food was good (I had the Trout) but a little on the salty side and a bit pricey for the location in my opinion..

This restaurant is behind the Motel. Not obvious from the road or parking lot.
