This used to be my go-to spot for coffee, but in the last two months or so, I've watched as the entire staff has completely changed and the quality has tanked. It's a husk of its former self.
Now, orders are screwed up constantly and the staff are distracted and lack oversight. During my most recent trip, I ordered a chai and a drip coffee. I got back a cup of steamed milk. That's it. I asked them about the missing coffee and they insisted that someone must have taken it by mistake. I was the only person there. I miss the excellent and highly knowledgeable staff Jack Mormon used to have.
There are other passable coffee shops in the neighborhood and I'll be going elsewhere.
Super friendly staff! It is a very tiny little coffee shop that has a wide variety of beans. Is not recommended for study or catching up with an old friend due to the size of the place. A good amount of people come here for the coffee and there is a reason for that!
It's the only coffee place that my ex-husband would go to. I get him his favorite coffee blend each year for his birthday - and even though I do not drink coffee, he is a complete coffee snob. Thank goodness the wonderful girls at Jack Mormon Coffee keep his preference on file - then I don't even have to think about what I am going to get him for his birthday. They just do it for me.
You are my favorite child. I would drive miles for your house blend, it's the lowest acidic best tasting coffee I've ever experience. And I love your historical building, even if there's never a place for me to sit. Great merchandise! đź‘Źđź‘Źđź’“đź’“
I was gifted the Quarentino blend and now I'm spoiled. I can't go back to any online order bean! Now I'm going to have to drive all the way to the Avenues. Oh, well the drive back will be nice.
I requested a bag of coffee coarse ground for a French press, and they accidentally ground it too fine and I wasn’t able to use it. They gave me a new bag of coffee, no questions asked, and I was able to gift the other bag to my neighbor. Excellent customer service!
I love this place. I discovered it about a year ago (May 2014). Their main business is selling you great coffee to take home and brew. Just choose a coffee from any of the coffees they have, and they will fresh roast it for you and grind it if you want as well. Roasting can take some time, so calling ahead is a good idea. They always have the House favorite Celestial Bean Caurenteno available without calling ahead, and several others as well. The Staff is very friendly and knowledgeble and love to tell you about their various coffees. You can buy coffee by the cup, but the seating is limited. I love their coffee and I buy all my coffee here. I just wish I'd discovered it sooner.
One of the best coffee spots in town. Not a spot to camp out on your laptop. It's all about the coffee here, and it's damn good. Bulk beans from around the world, roasted on-the-spot while you wait or spot-on lattes, and black coffee brewed on-the-spot. Lots of spots try to be as good... they miss the mark compared to Jack Mormon.
Great coffee (latte) and served up quickly and with a smile. Jack Mormon Coffee attracts a broad trend of people, from avenue homies to office bound devotees. Love to sit and watch the world, people, and friendly pups visit, mingle, and go about there day for a bit ... You will always leave with a upbeat gait from making a new friend.

My favorite place to buy coffee beans in SLC. Their nitro cold brew is also legendary.
