12-5-22 5PM Just went down to eat and the kid behind the counter didn't make eye contact or acknowledge our question. We asked him 3 times if he had tomato soup, and he finally said give me a minute. He was trying to fix a hamburger he messed up for the guy in front of us by taking everything off one bun and just putting it on another rather than making him another. Another guy came up and asked the kid something and he ignored him, he was a hospital worker, he went and grabbed who I think was the manager but we just walked out. Worst service ever, if he doesn't like his job he needs to quit.
I had unexpectedly spent the day at Utah Valley Hospital, so I took my granddaughter to the cafe to get something to eat. The prices were very reasonable and the food looked great, and my granddaughter and daughter were happy with what the got. I saw a charge come through that seemed to be an overcharge so I reached out to talk to someone at the cafe. They were totally awesome! Very kind and thorough in finding the answers I needed. Thank you Debbie and Katie, best customer service ever! Had I been able to try the food, I'm sure I could have given a rating of 5 stars.
I have enjoyed eating at River Rock Cafe in the past, but I had a really bad experience this afternoon (5:00 pm, 06/12/19). While the food was good, and the prices were very affordable, the customer service was abysmal! There was only one person serving at the grill area, and she moved at sloth speed. Besides being slow, she kept up a conversation with her fellow worker at the pizza/ pasta station, ignoring the customers. She left, without apology, to get a case of Styrofoam "clam shells", and was exceedingly slow in getting it open and getting on with serving the customers, who were lining up. She was cold and unfriendly - basically had zero customer interaction skills. No apology for the long wait. She obviously didn't care about the customers and basically acted like she had totally checked out. I guess she had, because when I finally got the hamburger I had ordered, after a 15 minute wait, she had forgotten to put the meat patty on the bun. Bad, bad service.
The hardest part is the lack of posted hours accurately. Online it will show 6:30am as open, but it's closed. It's very hard for in-patient family members to find something to eat/drink when hours are incorrect.
I have had all of the pasta sauces and they are great. The grill quality is awesome, howerver, they are not very fast. When there are a lot of people, the wait for food is long. They looked short staffed the enire week I was there. Some of the workers bent over backwards to help me and gave great customer service. The four stars are for the quality and price of the food. Lost one point for staffing and long lines.
Serving sizes are very inconsistent. The person in front of me ordering a Cali bowl got twice and much food as I did because the person making mine literally counted how many buggies she put in when the other person took a handful of the veggies for the bowl she made. It tasted good but not worth the money for the amount of food I got.
So wonderful when we were there for a while week to have good staff and food. It is so hard to leave for food when a loved one is ill and in the hospital. Excellent staff and food. We will come without people in the hospital! Wow even on Sunday. Thanks again!

The Cafe was really nice. The pictures are just in the hallway walking around.

Food is very good! The price makes it even better. Never had a problem. (Visited 10+ times.)
