The Perk Coffee Shop & Cafe

First time being there. Was excited to try it out. They need a sign saying help yourself to a seat though. My husband ordered the Viking breakfast. It was pretty amazing. I ordered the French toast breakfast and the waiter did not offer any syrup and she didn't visit enough for us to ask for syrup. We also had coffee. My coffee was super bitter and tasted dirty. I ordered the caramel macchiato. The price is good. But they need to update their menus. On the menu the Viking said it was 19.54 but we were charged 21 for it on the bill. Overall, I would definitely come back.

We live up In northern Utah happened to be in the area over mother's day weekend decided to stop by and have some breakfast. Was very impressed with the service the food was excellent! French toast was amazing! Generous portions wife had the Denver omelet huge 3 egg omelet with a Generous portion of hash brown's. Brandi our server was very attentive and fun. Also the price was very reasonable for the portions. Better than say Dennys for sure!!

Just came from having lunch here, ordered the sirloin and ribeye steak. They were both exactly the same cut of meat and same sides, no difference at all between both except the price of course with one being 20 and the other 30 bucks. Aside from this, it came completely raw in the middle when it was ordered medium well. Ended up spending 75 bucks for a meal I didn’t even eat since it was inedible. After a few bites of the steak I then got sick and I wanted to throw up shortly after. I believe it’s unfair to charge people to make them sick by giving them raw, overpriced meat paired with canned sides that didn’t even receive a hint of salt to season it. I feel cheated out of my money.

I wanted to suppourt a local buisness, but I am not impressed. Our server was really sweet, but our order was not taken for 45 minutes, our food took 1 1/2 hrs to come out, we only got half of our food and had to remind our server many many times before we got it. The fruit was moldy, and the sides and drinks we ordered did not come out until we were walking out the door. The food was not good for the price charged.

The service was so bad that I actually felt like I was being pranked. It took our waitress 10 minutes to acknowledge us and 20 minutes to ask what we'd like to eat. I asked the waitress for my coffee 5 times over a 30-minute time span before telling the barista personally that I no longer wanted my drink. We were one of three groups dining inside and it was still an hour to get two pancakes. Massive fail

First if people know me I tend to leave reviews for 2 reasons. Above and beyond or way sub par.

So due to weather my wife an I needed a place local to eat as it was our 24th anniversary. Now I did not expect fine dinning here, but figured it would be decent food and atmosphere. I was way wrong.

The Bad
The atmosphere was very boring. The decore was very very basic. And there wall with there logo on it would have been nice and I get what they were trying but it was a big fail. It literally looked like someone threw 2 cups of coffee at it and was running down the wall. They should have just left the logo and not done that.

So we both ordered scones and the salmon dinner. First when they brought the scones out they were over done and burnt to where half was like burn and the other half was over done. Like someone forgot to take them out and then served them anyways. Then came then came the dinner. And wow just wow. I have enever seen such a plan boring plate of food in my life. And the portion of fish were completely different. My wife's was twice the size mine. And as soon as I tasted it I knew why. This was the same cheap salmon you by from the store where each peice was vacum3d sealed. So it was frozen fish that was cooked. Then the mashed potatoes. When I think mash potatoes I thin nice creamy potatoes. These were like the started to make them mashed and gave up part way through. And they were dry like really dry. And then we have the corn. Which if it was fresh they sure know how take it taste canned and bland.

Now if I was to order this and it came out like it did. It's like a max $15 plate. I mean I have ordered a 9.95 salmon dinner before and it was miles better than this. And for almost $26 I expected much much better.

I'm sorry but the food seemed like it was made in a cafeteria. Not a cafe. I really hoped this would have been good food. As we need more choices in town. But this is a nope.

The Good
We had a wonderful server and was atentative. Witch was great. Now we did not want to say anything or send anything back as we were trying to have nice day together.

I am not sure who was cooking and who is in charge of quality but this place needs to change or it will not make it. Especially at the prices they are charging.

It's fine to charge the prices if the quality of food matches it. (I really should have stayed home and made dinner instead. I could have made the same food and tasted better and presented better in 30 mins than going here.

I hope things change.

Breakfast was great!! Friendly staff, fresh food.

We waited over an hour for our food and it was not good. Kraft Mac and cheese for a high price, wilted browning lettuce and the prices on our receipt were not the same prices listed on there menu. This place has potential, but they definitely have some kinks they need to work out.

Food was good and hot, waitress only gave us our food, and then came back to ask us if we wanted To Go Boxes, and we had just started eating. She left the bill.... she never came back!

The Almond cream mocchiatos are so addictive 😋 the blonde long haired chick makes them the best 👌 however they need to hire and correctly train more workers because they have lost my buisness many a times because it takes to long to get through the drive through and I have to leave or be late to work😞 Ive seen many a people drive away without ordering because of the same issue. From the time I pulled in today until the time I got recieved drink It took about 45 min.
Also please do teach the girl that worked the window sun may 7th afternoon to make a good Almond cream 🙏 poor girl was so flustered but sweet and attempted to make it twice for me (thankyou!) both of which were not mixed-up correctly with the cream n almond on the bottom and three delicious layers. The flavors were all out of balance. Its these little things that can slip a buisness up and keep loyal customers from coming back. I truly do adore this place, it is just very often a hit or miss.
