Disclaimer: This review is specific to the landscaping portion of this business; the garden center as a whole has been wonderful over the years.
TLDR; I do not recommend Spring Creek Gardens Landscaping as the process just takes too long, the design work was non-existent, and they were very slow to respond to questions, updating quotes, and committing to work. Full details below:
1) The time between the initial request and someone coming out to discuss the job was over 3 weeks. Admittedly, they warn you about this upfront when you submit a request, however, this is definitely a pain point and they need to staff appropriately.
2) The person they sent out was very friendly but didn't seem to be creative when discussing possible designs for my landscaping (I'm not creative, so that's why I was hiring someone else). I didn't think anything of it initially, as I thought he would take good notes and then maybe get with their creative person to then come up with a design, however, I received the most sad looking landscaping design... zero effort went into the design and maybe just 5 minutes was spent in Paint superimposing generic images over my yard (see attached).
3) The quote was way overpriced. I understand that Spring Creek Gardens Landscaping is an intermediary so they need to get paid too, but when you put zero effort into the design, your pricing better be competitive as what am I paying extra for vs going directly to a landscaper?
4) Communication was slow all throughout the process, multiple days between responses, me having to follow-up constantly, etc.
5) Ultimately, I asked to scale back the project since most of it was so overpriced. They agreed to the reduced effort of just removing one tree, planting 4 trees, and some debris clean up. I asked for the pricing on that work, I was told I would receive it shortly but to go ahead and buy the trees to plant which I did. Once I had the trees I had to follow-up multiple times to get the final quote at which point I was quoted way too much to plant 4 trees. I asked to scale the project back to just the tree removal and debris cleanup and was then told it was too small of a job for them and that I was no longer a good fit for their business.
I get a job can become too small to be profitable, but after this long, drawn out process, with zero effort on design, with horrible communication, it just felt so bad to then be dropped. And not only was I dropped, but when I asked if they had any recommendations on other landscapers since I am in a bind with an HOA violation for the tree to be removed, I was ignored.
I almost always get multiple quotes simultaneously as that's just smart, but I really wanted to support Spring Creek Gardens since I spend so many weekends there that I didn't this time and I definitely regret that decision. Now I'm left scrambling to find new landscapers to get these trees planted and will most likely get an HOA fee for not removing the damaged tree in time.

June 5, 2021 - Spring Creek hosted my mother's Celebration of Life and it couldn't have been more perfect! The Gathering Haus is absolutely beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive.

I kove this place it'd usually great but breakfast with Santa the one thing that shouldn't be a scam was pure scam. 15 dollars per person for 2 stale cold pancakes, some pretzel sticks, and some candy. Way to take Christmas and make it about greed. If I could charge back my card I would. I spend alot of money here and have for years. I will now find somewhere else to go. Hope you enjoyed the last 60 dollars you will ever get from me for 8 tiny cold stale pancakes. Sincerely an annual thousand plus dollar customer. Enjoy your greed and merry christmas.

Must be too early in the season. We were thinking lots of grass selection and other shrubs to choose from we had been here before and was surprised to find so little selection. We walked around in 10 minutes no greeting and no choices. Found more at HEB and home depot . Not sure we will return for spring. Bummer

Definitely a destination to go relax, be creative and explore the plants. Ever changing with the seasons. Great tropical room and buyterfly garden. Soft lawns and groovy music. Wine tasting, seeds etc...

Such an awesome place! Beautiful grounds, buildings and outdoor seating areas! The girls in the coffee shop were so friendly and helpful! The Texas weather is just too darn hot to enjoy outside but we sat inside and had coffee and wine! Excellent idea to add to the wonderful experience even in this heat!!🥵🥵😎😎

Terrible customer service. They do not answer their phone and when you call more than once they hang up on you. Pretty place but they have very few plants and an awkward staff

Best place to buy Texas natives and indoor tropical. Drinking wine while shopping for plants isn't half bad either.

They had a Easter egg hunt and it was set up very well. It looks like all the kids had more than enough eggs and had fun looking for them.
