The Hole In The Wall Cafe

Decided to take a detour on our drive home and it was worth it! My husband had the chicken fried steak and I had the Bikini Bottom burger. They were so great and the owner is amazing.

Not sure if the woman taking the orders today is the owner, but she wasn’t very kind today. Wanted to be very short and rude about only accepting cash or check. She then let me know it’s on her website and has been posted on that for 3 years. Mind you I’m from out of town and have only heard of your business through family that lives in Rochester. I never have been to your restaurant before today. I also googled the phone number. When I asked about an ATM she wanted to be short and act put out. I didn’t get the Christ like feel that she puts all over the walls in her restaurant based off how she greeted a visitor from another city. Thought I would support a small business, but I’ll make sure to not go back there especially if the main person taking orders and greeting customers wants to be short and have a bad attitude. Never once did we end up getting a thank you or come back again from the face of your business.

Love this business and the owners. Love the small cafe feel and the love and compassion that they provide to every customer who walks through their doors! This is a dynamite cafe right off the beaten path in historic downtown Rockchester. Small cozy atmosphere, fabulous home cooked food in the area and a wonderfully accommodating and charismatic service. Thank very much for the fabulous jalapeno chicken fried steak and memories. I've lived in and around this area all my life and this is probably one of the best places to eat. They have some of the BEST burgers around. Very friendly people.
Will definitely recommend it!

I had by far the best hamburger and fries O have ever eaten in my life!!! And thats saying a lot coming from an ole retired teacher and voacj who has eaten hundreds of hamburgers. Amd the fries were incredible. This place in a real find!

We love this place! The great food is only rivaled by the great people that run it. Haven’t had one thing we didn’t like yet. Do not pass up the pecan pie cobbler!
