Jimmy's Cafe

I called today to place an order for pick-up. I was placed on hold and forgotten about for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back for a further 15 minutes only to receive a busy signal (phone off the hook still forgetting they had someone on the line). I drove up there to place my order in person, waited 5 minutes at the counter, and was finally told they had been too busy to take phone orders and that I could stand there waiting and someone might be able to take my order in a few minutes. I said no thanks and walked out. If you are too busy, or short handed, or just don't want to serve uniformed soldiers then have the courtesy to tell me the kitchen is closed or that you are not able to take any further orders at this time. This fiasco set me and my soldiers training schedule back an hour and a half and negatively impacted our productivity this afternoon. Maybe that doesn't seem like much to some but I hate failure and that's exactly what this was...a big fail.

Jimmy's cafe holds a special place in my heart. From the colorful individuals to the hearty meals, Jimmy's cafe is great for the whole family. Their prices are reasonable and their portions are great! It was the first restaurant I tried in Mineral Wells and I was very delighted. Their best plates in my opinion was the chicken fried steak and their chicken and waffles. Would highly suggest coming here!!

I have to say, if you want a truly authentic small town diner experience, Jimmy's is the place to go. They're always super nice and the prices are incredible. Never been unhappy here.

It's no surprise there was a wait early Saturday morning for seating.

The food is excellent. The service is outstanding. The prices are well beyond reasonable.

You simply can't do wrong on service of food eating here.

Had an order called in for pick up. Always has the best ham and cheese omelettes with jalapenos. Hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Awesome!! Absolutely love it

Awesome spot to grab a bite to eat at! Such a nice and cozy diner with great waiters and staff. Their breakfast options are superb, and the menu is great. I had a breakfast sandwhich and coffee and it was delicious. Will be back for more good food!

Friendly place. One of my favorite places to eat! Good home cooking you will find here along with the one of the best in customer service staff. Comfortable relaxed atmosphere lands Jimmy’s on my “loved places” list 🤍

Excellent food fast service friendly people do not pass this place up

Very disappointed in the food and especially the service.
Young couple came in a few minutes after I was seated; they received their food and finished eating and getting up to leave when my barely warm food arrived, missing the hash browns.
I never saw the server after she took my order, had to finally go to register to pay and point to table I was at.
Ridiculous

After trying a few cafe's in town, I declare Jimmy's the winner. It doesn't have the best theme or location, it doesn't have a specialty menu filled with unique items to order. What it is, your quintessential main street home town Cafe with witty waitresses, fast refilled coffee ☕️, and good Ole fashion greasy fork fare. Just not on the main street.
