There comes a point where too much can hurt your business. We stopped into the Between Friends shop because of the words “coffee shop” on the front window. I’m not sure who taught them how to make coffee because it really tasted like Folgers with some foam on top. Too watered down, with little flavor. I watched her make the “espresso” which came from a jar marked medium roast. Which she proceeded to “brew” twice before pulling it out to pour into the cup. She went else where to “steam” the milk so who knows how that process worked. The fudge we picked out at least made this review 3 stars. The store had lots of different items to choose from. I’m sure you could find something there if you spent some time searching.
I stopped by in Mineola today to pick up some to-go food at a burger place and happened to see this shop. I happened to park right in front of this shop and after seeing through the front window, I decided to go inside and check it out. I'm so glad I did. This little place is like a hidden gem in Mineola in my opinion! So many unique antiques in fantastic shape and very reasonable prices. I loved this place and did not want to leave. Upon checking out, I spoke with the owner and one of her employees. The owner also makes and sells her own fudge, which I also purchased. I left the shop with a pound of delicious fudge, three books , and a toy for one of my kiddos. I'm definitely going back.
After this last weekend enjoying the superb lemon bars we will probably be driving 4 hours again to get those lemon bars again, staff and store have extremely original personalities and great smiles really enjoyed the items we bought thankyou
