Cute coffee place we came upon in Luling on a recent road trip. It was storming like crazy, the water came high up on the roads, and we needed to stop. The patron of the shop too is right in. She was so sweet! Made is fresh coffee, the refills just came on coming, and she let us stay and rode or the storm, even though it was past closing time. The shop is decorated with large bookshelves filled with beautiful books and family photos, giving it a truly comfortable, homie feel. The tin ceiling is a great touch too. Did I mention the coffee was hot and strong?? Just like I like it. ;)

If I lived in Luling, this would be my favorite haunt. Sweet and simple, and the best turkey sandwich - no fancy-dancy gimmicks, just a nice, wholesome feel...smallish, cozy, books on the shelves, homemade crafts...the young kids serving are polite and are an example of what so many other young kids in the bigger cities seem to lack: family values, good work ethic, and manners.
Enjoying my coffee outside on the front walk, on a park bench, feeling like I just came out of a blessed corner of America.

The rustic look was very nice. Had just an awesome good old fashion sandwiches. In the old part of town.

Sweet shop. Very personable, fresh made bread, homemade chicken salad and homemade ice cream. Yum!!

A quaint little shop that is doing it properly. Simple easy and delicious. Little Nick ax span the walls, at reasonable prices, sure to deliver an impact as a gift or just a home decor. The sandwich was delicious and not shy on the amount or good quality of ingredients.
Coffee was a drip coffee and tasted just like you would expect. I did not try the ice cream although I wanted to. I definitely recommend Trying out if driving through for a quick sandwich or snack with a family or friend or even a business associate.

This is an awesome place to eat! It was our first visit. My parents loved their chicken salad sandwiches, same for my roast beef - all on homemade bread. They have a good drink selection as well.
The ice cream was really good, just was kind of hard what to decide I wanted. Got some bakery items to go. The cookies were really good and my husband highly approved of the blueberry muffins I brought home for him.
We will definitely be back to this great little cafe. (Maybe just for coffee and sweets even. Lol)

Very nice place. Sorta sparse in merchandise. Seems family owned and all family members pitch in. Frozen watermelon is really good.
Definitely a small town country store.

We have had their blueberry muffins several times in the past (they are fantastic, almost more blueberry than muffin), but we stopped for lunch this time. My wife had the chicken salad wrap, and I had sliced roast beef on their in-house baked wheat bread. Both were fantastic. I baked my own bread (for the past 8 years almost exclusively), so was interested in seeing how their bread tasted. Conclusion: it is wonderful.
We also stopped by the next morning for blueberry muffins and coffee. Both are great.

Cute cafe! I did a search on Google and the location's storefront photo captured my eye plus excellent reviews made me want to visit! We stopped here on our return to Austin and it was so nice. We ordered scoops of Blue Bell ice cream - watermelon is my favorite and it was divine! :) The young man that helped us was great! I was admiring some framed pictures on the wall - a collage of events from different years and a sweet employee was so nice to explain how she collects photos and news articles of town events throughout the year and then puts them together into an annual collage. There were colorful Luling t-shirts, lots of books, gifts, etc. The atmosphere was so relaxing and welcoming - made me miss my hometown. The Luling Watermelon Festival is this coming weekend (last weekend in June) so there was a lot of preparation going on in the area, but didn't affect our travel to the cafe!
