Very cool new coffee spot! Incredible coffee and super friendly staff and owners too! Tons of options perfect for every kind of coffee drinker and a really cool indoor/outdoor patio seating area. I usually go plain black/drip coffee, but had to see what the hype was all about with the moon milk - and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

I, like, so many others, wanted to experience Summer Moon Coffee, on their Grand Opening day. We knew there would be a line due to the anticipation of a new coffee joint in town, but were willing to wait it out. When you approach the entrance, you are met by 2 ways of entering, thru double doors, or the opened garage door, already opened for convenience. The garage door adds a nice touch to make the out door seating feel like you're still a part of the indoor establishment, while providing fresh air flow during beautiful weather. There's also a kids area, where they have provided books to keep your little one(s) entertained, and a cozy lounge area by a fireplace. You have several items you can choose from, to show your support, like shirts/hoodies, candles, cups, & so much more. Staff were very friendly, & were quick to take care of a spill.
Now, on to what you all have been waiting for, the coffee! So, this establishment, doesn't offer the typical type of dairy products that go into your normal Cup of Joe, but I'd like to think of it as a healthier version. This is what may make or break one's opinion about whether to give this change in flavor a chance, or continue to drink what they've been used to all these years. From having gone thru usually using whole milk in my coffee, to experiencing this new style of dairy, I could certainly taste the difference. One may think they can't taste a difference, but if you're like me, a coffee drinker, you will certainly taste it. For my first experience, I ordered the Mocha Moon Latte & the Moon Glacier Java Chip. In my initial taste test, they were ok. They weren't bad, & it didn't keep me from wanting to visit the establishment ever again. This first experience, was able to get a feel of what to expect, but that I could tweak the flavor the next time around, which I certainly did the very next day... This time around, I knew exactly how I needed to fix the flavor to get the best experience out of this new joint. I love the taste of coffee, that's why I go to places like these, to get my caffeine fix, & in my initial experience, I didn't get that much. I know they want to broadcast their healthier dairy version, so it seemed as though that flavor outweighed the caffeine. I knew just the touch the drink needed, ESPRESSO! So, for my second attempt to get the perfect experience, I ordered the Moon Glacier Java Chip, & added a shot of espresso to it. I also ordered another drink for my daughter, so I had 2 drinks in total. During my first visit, both drinks came out at the same time, yet this second time, when my daughter's came out, I was left waiting on my drink. I finally got mine after this other lady received her's, that had placed her order way after mine. In my opinion, don't call out orders unless you get the whole order together, or better yet, just fix an order at the same time?.. But overall, adding that shot of espresso made the drink 100x better! My advice to everyone that didn't have a good experience in taste with their first time around, use that experience to tweak it, & make it how you'll enjoy it!
There was also a "Drip" station the very first day, where anyone could get a small cup of coffee for free (one per customer), but I didn't see it the second day. So, not sure if that was just for the Grand Opening, or will be a continued thing. I initially thought it was pretty cool thing, how people could just come in to get a cup of coffee for free, but now, not sure?..
I also like to ask about military discounts, & found out that teachers, military, & first responders, get $1 off their purchase. Not the 10% I was hoping for, but hey, it's something right?..
Overall, this place has definitely made a positive statement as one of our go-to's for a quick caffeine fix, & will be in many of our future plans to stop by.
UPDATE: Just went here again, & tried the drink that was suggested, the Espresso Milkshake. Maybe an extra shot of espresso, but would definitely see if I can add Java Chip in as well next time.

We loved our experience here at this new coffee spot in Lockhart! The coffee was delicious, and they have good options for the whole family. I got the Bluemoon Latte, and I highly recommend it! The location is excellent, and the new building is beautiful. You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought into the atmosphere created here; it is one of community and gathering. They even have a kids' table with toys and children's books! We will definitely be back, but for the time being, we'll have to enjoy our Summer Moon mug and candle from home.

Coffee tasted good, however the coffee muffin was extremely cold almost like it was still getting thawed from being frozen. Maybe it was meant to be eaten that way. The next time I go I’ll make sure I ask for it to be warmed.
I don’t mean to bash anyone or act like I will never go there again because I will.
The reason for my review is to share my experience and maybe next time get at least a room temperature baked good and/or be asked if I prefer it warmed. If that would be an option that would be awesome.

Awesome experience at a new and fun coffee shop in Lockhart. Super friendly staff is a great addition to this fun, light and airy coffee shop. If you’re looking for a great spot to work, meet friends or just want to curl up and read a book, this is your place to go! Cant wait to visit them again.

Robert takes the extra steps to make sure your order is correct. This location is new with big windows and comfortable atmosphere. Free wifi and plenty of spots to sit and charge your devices.

Their drinks can be pretty good. If you like sweet drinks its accessible without being overly sweet. Ive ordered their blueberry crisp latte and another seasonal one before. However, these are surprisingly smaller in proportion to starbucks’ venti size while also costing more. (7$+)

Summer moon is great! I’ve always appreciated the service and the environment. Sure, they’ve make mistakes here and there but name a food chain/ coffee shop that has never made a mistake. Also, it’s a newer location trying to get a grip of the things and I think they’re doing awesome. 10/10 recommend.

Well for starters I love summer moon coffee and get drinks from there all the time at the downtown location and Kyle. However this new location in Lockhart is really frustrating me. I have been there three times already and every time it’s something new. For starters, it takes forever, so if you’re trying to get in and out, not gonna happen. Then they have gotten my order wrong 2 out of the three times. I’m ordering a summer moon latte, not that hard of an order. Then they just say sorry and remake your correct drink as you wait even longer. Now as far as the aesthetics go it is really nice inside and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly, they are just slow and seem to get things wrong a lot. They have strong Wi-Fi and comfortable seating.
