The Coffee Barr

The absolute best find of the year! If you are looking for a place with not only great coffee, but also friendly staff and amazing atmosphere look no further. I stopped in a few weeks ago and just haven’t left. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I recommend the Gingerbread Latte.

I had a regular latte. It tasted really good. I just have to addwd an extra shot of expresso cause I like it strong. Great coffee shop in the downtown are of katy. Very friendly owner and the ambiance of the coffee shop is so relaxing! It feels like you are home. ❤❤

Quaint little place. Cozy environment and wonderful Baristas.

Had two custom orders and they delivered on both. Surprisingly, the drinks tasted better than the guys in green: the espresso they use is top quality.

Also ordered 1lb of coffee for the office: the barista custom ground the beans and beautifully packaged them. (Almost felt like I was walking out of a Neiman Marcus instead of a coffee shop). Class Act!

We had our first visit to this newly opened coffee shop and will definitely be back! Great coffee, many seating options, and best of all a friendly owner. I’m glad to welcome this new shop to old Katy.

for sure the best coffee experience of my life. i always drive by and want to go in because it looks so enticing and homey but today i finally gave in. it was such a relaxing, almost out of body experience; i truly felt like i was getting home (pulling into driveway) and going through the front door of my own house (i guess i literally am) like i've done it a million times. i tried to stay focused and rational instead of being distracted by the amazingly comfy looking armchairs and smells that lined the front room, looking immediately at the menu to affirm this was a good choice. and i was ecstatic to see nitro cold brew on the menu and seasonal drink specials! i'm a huge DIY homebrew coffee nerd and prefer doing it myself because it's cheaper and i feel can do it better than the big places; until i came in and met Penny. she's like me, super nerdy and passionate about coffee too and is an extreme example of DIY since she turned it into a business. and she knows her stuff. we talked for a while about nitro alone, savoring it's delectable eccentricities and proper process/procurements. i love that she's focused on elongating the cascade to maximize body/creaminess since so many times at most places the head quickly fizzes off and you're left with just a cold brew. but penny knows how to make it last a ridiculous amount of time! but the cold brew blend she used is well rounded, smooth and holds up on its own anyways. plus she has jerky and kids drinks! i can't wait to go here all the time for a local, neighborly feel and the best coffee, an unprecedented combo!

A wonderful addition to katy! Those who are vegan or dairy-free- look no further as they offer oat milk and other dairy-free options.The owner is very warm and welcoming and the cafe’s interior is one-of-a-kind and cozy. I definitely plan to come again!

What a great find! Very clean & comfortable coffee shop hidden in Katy. Coffee was great! Had a delightful conversation with the owner. You won’t be disappointed.

Have you ever been to a place where it feels like home and smells like sweet sweet yummies? From the conversation to the beverages, everything about this place is fantastic. Their Lemonade smoothie takes me back to being a kid at a pool party. Everything there is a must try and a must have!

This is an awesome cozy spot across from the library in old Katy! Excellent coffee! Try the bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Nice staff here. definitely worth checking out.
