The Hunt Store

I was there on March 27th and got it to go due to the quarantine. Got to the ranch and ate and I will say it was the best burger I have ever put in my mouth! The others with me would agree! Thanks for the to go order Hunt Store!

Great food, and friendly people. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed ice cream with the kiddos during the ice cream festival. We also talked with the wonderful ladies of the gardening club. Definitely a place to stop during your stay.

Had diner with a large group on Friday night. The grilled salmon, fried shrimp and chicken fried steak were all perfect. The new chef is a great find. We will be back soon..

This place I was taken to with my friend Ashley Phillips. The food was amazing. They have a huge menu and everyone is wonderful. Come by and check out the delicious 😋 food.

The online menu shows meat by the pound. I needed something quick for dinner and didn't want to drive to Bill's or Buzzy's, so I decided to try King's Smokehouse. I asked the young lady at the counter for one pound of chopped brisket to go. She didn't say anything and rang up the order. She brought it out about 10 minutes later and I drove home. When I opened the bag, there was a chopped brisket sandwich and chips. I called the store hoping they made a mistake and would fix it, and was told "We don't sell meat by the pound". Why didn't the counter person tell me that? I was stuck with a sandwich for one person and nothing for the other. Very disappointed; and the brisket wasn't very good, either. It tasted like Liquid Smoke and was dry. I doubt I will ever try this place again, even though it's 5 minutes from my house. The previous cafe in the Store was much better.

Great place stop for a break with great food

Good store, the head chef at the cafe is fantastic. They have live music on weekends I believe. Nice place to stop on drives through the scenic hill country.

Awesome place, rustic atmosphere, casual or fine dinning. Great food and Great music with outdoor seating. What can we say, it has everything. Love this little jewel in the hill country.

The food at King's Texas Smokehouse is amazing, all the staff are friendly, and they have a lot of live music events! I can't recommend this place enough

A unique rustic store that makes you feel like you stepped back into the 1800s! They serve good home-cooked food and the staff is always kind and courteous. Also, they have some of the best huajilla honey I've ever tasted! This place is a hidden gem nestled in the hill country. Be sure to stop by and see this historical landmark on your next visit!
