Nice little shop for coffee and tea, and a few other things. I had a simple cup of tea. Pretty expensive for a small cup, but that's expected, I guess. Either way, the area is nice and has a good vibe. Pretty cool for a casual date or meet up of that sort.

Wonderful spot with very filling savory (and sweet) crepes. The Janis Joplin is a must! Loved the Matcha Latte.

An absolutely gorgeous spot to have a morning coffee. It's quiet and pleasant with plenty of outdoor seating, the coffee and food are both delicious, and the service is super friendly.

Super laid back, so not for when you are in a hurry. Delightful menu items in an inviting atmosphere. We loved the crepes! The bannaba and nutella was so good we forgot to photo!

Awesome coffee shop in Midtown. Outside seating only but if it's nice out it's a great place. They have a little back yard with corn hole and plenty of shade. From 9-2 on the weekends they have crepes and mimosas (they have crepes all the time but they have the crepe chef there on the weekends). They get some delicious cashew milk from a local woman and she makes awesome flavors! Will definitely be going back!

Retrospect Coffee Bar gets 5 stars for meeting or exceeding all of the things I check when trying a restaurant for the first time. I consider the following items when rating restaurants: facility/location, restrooms, staff, and food. I ordered the Ima Hogg savory crepe which included ham, cheese, green onions, and balsamic dressing. It was delicious! All of those flavors together made an amazing breakfast. I only had water to drink, but my spouse had black coffee. The only way he could describe it was that it "tasted like beans". He didn't dislike it, but he didn't love it. The staff was friendly and attentive. The tiny historical site was a great stop during our trip to Houston.

Cool building and sitting area but the wait is long even without a line and the swamp water (matcha with an espresso shot) is .50 cents more than just ordering a matcha with a shot. Drinks weren’t hot and usually there’s a character walking around … comes with the area I guess. No indoor seating and I suppose the window set up to order is for the worker’s safety

The coffee is A+. The only Slayer (at a shop) in Houston, Boomtown and Amaya beans, and great baristas. They make great cold brew. Crepes are great, too. $5 mimosas. And discounts for students/educators and if you walk/bike.

A gem of a place! My friend and I visited twice within 5 days because we fell in love with it immediately. Ask them about the historic landmark!! We ordered the Dark Chocolate Cashew Milk Mocha (iced) and a regular Cappuccino. Both are incredibly delicious, definitely one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had! The iced Green Tea Latte is also great, a solid option if you're looking for something other than coffee. We ordered the heavenly Janis Joplin crepe with BOTH balsamic vinagarette and sriracha (try it!!), and the Almond Croissant was the perfect dessert.
