I don't think little old Gainesville truly appreciates this establishment enough.

Not only is this a great coffee shop with craft beer and fresh beans to take home with you. But the owner is making great strides into supporting and growing the community.

I'll buy beans from them as long as we are both around, I have yet to taste better. They can be a little heavy on the syrup, but that's a personal taste (you can always ask them to go easy).

First time at this establishment..... NOT impressed!!!!!!! Very very sweet to sweet... does this coffee have coffee???? You can't taste it if it has coffee in it and one of the drinks had a shot of expresso in it still no coffee taste. Overly priced for non-coffee coffee... we travel alot and like to try small town coffee's this coffee you can get at any QT but cheaper. We also ordered a strawberry Frappuccino it had no red color what so ever and no strawberry taste to it but it tasted like coffee. I wouldn't recommend cause it don't taste like coffee and the prices compared to other places are way way higher
The inside was beautiful, the smell was fabulous, the staff was very nice and that's the reason you got any stars at all....
To the owner: I seen the other reviews..... you can have knowledge of coffee all day long but don't mean you know how to make the coffee. Reviews are for the customer to tell how they like or don't like an establishment not for the owner to come back and be rude.
Compared to Starbucks
3 large with 2 shots of expresso $18
This place.... same drinks same Size 1 shot of expresso $27 and some change. Smh

Both hot chocolate and mocha tasted like very sweet milk and barely warm.

This is the reply to the owner: it's not up to the customer to worry about your rating. If you cared about your business, you wouldn't sell a very dry brownie for $4. You would train your baristas to make sure the coffee is warm especially when that latte costs almost $8 and a small hot chocolate costs $5 and your espresso drinks actually taste like they have some coffee flavor to that them. You would expect a warm cup of coffee when the weather is freezing outside. You would update your menu to reflect your food offerings so people wouldn't drive out of their way just to find out there's no breakfast food served.
I actually cared enough to support a local business, so I drove past the Starbucks to get a couple of drinks and some breakfast on my way to Dallas. I wouldn't turn around and drive back just to let you know my "hot" drink is not even warm and it tastes like just milk with a lot of sugar.

I have been drinking Comb’s coffee for years and I am constantly impressed by the knowledge of the staff and the variety of the coffee. I am an adventurous coffee drinker and I love to try new flavors, roasts, and grounds. James and his staff have been a fantastic guide in this journey and provide top notch service.

The new location in Gainesville is outstanding! So many things to check out and I love the community involvement and market days + they are environmentally friendly.

Keep up the great work team!

Really great coffee and lovely service! More people need to come here! The employee was super friendly and helpful, and there was a handy drive-thru. Was really nice just chatting with him and learning about the coffee and property (all homemade, solar panel roof, etc.). I’d definitely come back for nothing but the kindness!

I stopped in there a few weeks ago and got some whole beans recommended by the barista. I was there vacationing and didn't get coffee made. Finally brewed some yesterday and today. The beans are from China and made an excellent cup of coffee. I also has a Cubano Torta sandwich from Taco Truck parked next to Comb's it was quite good as well. Thanks, Joe.

Amazing place with amazing owners who are truly passionate about having the best coffee. I'd happily drive 30 minutes out of Denton, a place full of great coffee shops, to enjoy the coffee and the good vibes here. The owners really out in the work, from traveling to other countries to find the best, ethical beans, to putting this place together in the midst of a pandemic. Also, huge props for them holding a holiday market and having food trucks to further support other local business owners. I can't say enough great things.

To the Owner. I was raised that if you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all. I wasn't in awe over your business. Coffee sizes and prices remind me of Rodeo Drive. Not small town Gainesville, TX.
Do I leave my 3 stars or shall I drop it lower?
This is my Google review, not Gainesville Curbside on FB. I leave my honest reviews. Not everyone is going to fall in love with your store front or vision. Just accept that you are not going anywhere, telling people how to review your business.

Stopped off at Combs' during a roadtrip and I'm glad I did. The owner is a "coffee genius" (what I am calling him because I can't remember the actual term for the training he has received in...well, all things coffee). I received an education, a thoroughly enjoyable cup of cold joe, and heard about plans for disc golf, an indoor climbing gym (with ambitious scale) and more. Love the vision!
