This coffee shop in Casa Linda is equal parts cute and delicious! Don’t walk, run.

I had been meaning to stop by, and finally got to. I enjoyed every bit, very nice people. I had the Lavender Latte and spinach quiche.

Tried El Portón for the first time this week and enjoyed their Pupusas and horchata cold brew…did not so much like the vibe though. I decided to give it a second chance on Saturday and even brought a friend but the one girl who was there on Wednesday morning was also there yesterday morning. When I asked her about what time they opened , she told me the time but also some extra info about them not being able to open until there’s two people there (I didn’t ask or complain…I just wanted to know so I could come back next week) she was just unnecessarily snappy. She was very unapproachable overall and as we were asking questions about the menu, her answers were snappy and gave me the impression WE were wasting her time. Listen I’m in customer service, experienced barista myself, so I get it but this young lady doesn’t convince me or my friend to come back. Her attitude and the tension in her presence ruin the experience for a visit here. She needs to let somebody else who really wants to be there and help build a customer base take a chance at making this coffee shop inviting and a spot for people to make it “their coffee shop”.

Just left this place. Horrible service. We walked in only ones in line nobody greeted us. Chick with brown hair just stared at us didn’t even bother to acknowledge us. We decided to just leave. There is so many other places you can go and get service. Skip this place. We stood there for a good while.

First time here & I got the iced caramel macchiato and it was so good!

Great coffee, atmosphere, and staff! I’m addicted to their Costa Rica pour over! They have great Vegan & Gluten Free pastry options as well. My wife and I drive 30 mins to this place almost weekly now to enjoy being here!

Been twice, I like the atmosphere, good quality food and coffee! However, service is slow. We ordered an iced dirty chai and three empanadas, took 15mins to get our order and there was no one in line before us. Empanadas are pre made, only need to be reheated. Not the place to go if you’re in a hurry.

Lattes are mid at best. Almond crossaint is good, though.

I didn't fancy myself a coffee drinker, but after having what I now know is good coffee, I have been converted. El Porton has a great selection of truly tasty coffee straight from the brew to fun and inventive drink concoctions with a story behind each bag, cup, and sip. The Owners are a sweet couple that come from a long generation of coffee producers from El Salvador. I don't feel intimidated to not understand coffee because of them and their staff they like to educate you about coffee and all I can say is "mind-blown". They also have a great conference room to use for free - great for group gatherings, business meetings or you just need a quiet big space to work. Thank you Bruno and Isa for opening El Porton Coffee its a great addition to Casa Linda Plaza.

Super nice owners. They close early so do not be late. Closed on Sunday. Wide variety of coffee available including pour over. The pastries are also very good. Small space but plenty of seats and nicely decorated.
