Do you want a small town experience combined with tasty caffeinated beverages? The House in Columbus is your place! The House is new and will soon offer wine and beer. They have three sitting rooms and a front porch to sit and enjoy. Equally great for date night as well as an alternative to work from home. The House is your home away from home!

When you exit Columbus from Houston, The House is just past the court house on the right. Definitely stop by and grab a coffee or a light bite. The friendly owner will greet you and make you feel at home. Highly recommend!!!!

Ate a Magnolia Days Special Quinoa Bowl and it was awesome. Can’t wait to see this place thrive in Columbus!

Perfect place to stop if you're passing thru, driving down I10 or staying at an RV Park.
I've finally found great coffee! Bouncing around Texas in my RV, it's hard to find good coffee the further I get away from the metro areas. The House is perfect! I can bring my computer, work a bit, enjoy a GOOD cup of coffee, have lunch and then relax on the porch with a beer. And I can bring my dog!
The locals are very welcoming, which is much appreciated. Living in an RV, many times I don't know anyone in the area. It's nice to know I chat with people and feel a part of the community.

You would never know Sarah, the owner, is relatively new to Columbus. She has such a passion for collaboration with other business owners and offering interesting options for food, drink, entertainment, etc. for the area. The coffee is good, the one glass of wine I have had was exceptional and uber affordable, and I have not tried the beer yet, but am thrilled that she has afternoon options for drinks as the place is interesting and fun to hang out, alone or with a dozen friends. Her collaboration with Simply Jane, an amazing chef, makes a lunchtime break at The Porch a real culinary treat (shhhh...the food is quite healthy). If you have not stopped in, you must. It is like dropping in on a friend's home...so homey and you are welcomed warmly, oh, and served great stuff.

If you’re looking for good coffee without the interstate drive-thru vibes, this is it. Cool spot to hang, friendly and clean.

I'm very surprised to find that I hadn't already reviewed this wonderful local coffee shop, and I'm happy to rectify that now.
We came upon The House some time ago thanks to Google Maps while driving through Columbus and looking for a coffee nearby. What a fortunate thing that was. As soon as we walked inside we were stuck by the comfortable and cozy feel. We had some coffees (including one with a delicious home made lavender syrup added) and we drank them on the large porch. While we were drinking our coffee several regulars that were coming in/out stopped and chatted for a few minutes and it was really a great experience. We actually enjoyed the coffee, porch, and conversation so much we nearly made ourselves late for our appointment in Houston!
Since that first visit we have been back a couple of times, and I don't foresee driving between Austin and Houston WITHOUT stopping in moving forwards. Absolutely worth a detour!
Worth noting that only cash and Venmo are currently accepted, but that's definitely not a deal breaker for me.

Loved spending time here working. Great coffee and lunch options. Tons of space to work or connect with others. Sarah is very friendly and hospitable. I needed internet since I’m a full time RV nomad and didn’t have signal at the campground.
Espresso, black coffee, and fajita tacos were the jam!!

HIGHLY recommend! Was passing through and needed a pick-me-up cup of coffee, and this place was such a pleasant surprise!
While I didn't catch her name, the sweet lady who runs The House is just an angel and has created such a cute and welcoming space. The coffee was great quality, she has a dairy-free creamer option, and makes her flavored syrups herself!
I highly recommend stopping by if you get the opportunity :) and support your local small businesses
