Carport - A Coffee Shop
Review of Carport - A Coffee Shop
Carport - A Coffee Shop:
Carport is a cozy coffee shop located in College Station, Texas. It is a popular spot for students and locals alike, thanks to its proximity to the Texas A&M campus. The coffee shop is open seven days a week, with varying hours depending on the day. On weekdays, Carport opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM, while on weekends, it opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 3:00 PM.
Carport serves a variety of coffee drinks, including cortados, flat whites, and lattes. The coffee is made with high-quality beans and is praised by many customers for its taste. In addition to coffee, Carport also offers breakfast tacos, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, and other pastries. The blueberry muffins are a customer favorite and are made fresh with seasonal ingredients.
The atmosphere at Carport is cozy and welcoming, with a small seating area and a few outdoor tables. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the baristas are skilled at making a variety of coffee drinks. The shop also features a mini chalkboard with creative questions, prompts, and doodles that add to the fun and friendly vibe of the place.
While some customers have noted that the service can be slow at times, the majority of reviews praise Carport for its quick service and delicious food and drinks. The prices are reasonable, and many customers note that the coffee is better tasting and cheaper than Starbucks.
Overall, Carport is a great spot for anyone looking for a cozy coffee shop with great coffee and food. Its proximity to the Texas A&M campus makes it a popular spot for students, but it is also a great place for locals to grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat.

I love coffee, I'm a big coffee drinker. I was here before they opened in the morning and I watched the staff come in and open the shop. I thought, ok it will be a few minutes before the coffee will be made. A friend and I made our orders and I don't know how long it took, but it was the fastest I've ever gotten my coffee at a coffee shop. I was very impressed.
The staff is very friendly and the coffee smells and tastes fantastic. I drink my coffee black, I had the Americano and it was perfect. I hope I get to stop by and get more coffee before I leave town.

This place is super cute and has parking spots. That already has quite a special appeal for Northgate. However, the food options are limited. No food was available before 8am. Coffee very much taste likes fancy Austin coffee shop (as expected!). Staff is super friendly (also reminds me of Austin coffee shop owners). It seems like a great place to study. Overall, it’s worth checking out, especially if ambiance is a draw for you.

I love this place! The coffee is high quality and tasty. The staff are welcoming and friendly. This place is always eco conscious. During normal times, they serve their coffee in ceramic cups for you to enjoy on the premises, so there’s no waste from your coffee trip! For COVID 19, they started using disposable cups and paper straws. My only complaint is that they aren’t open later for my 4:00 coffee runs on those tough days.

A pleasant environment for studying or chatting! The owner was in the shop and was so lovely and came and got our cups. He recommended the ’Brown Dog’ to me, a non coffee drinker, and it was a yummy experience! I loved everything about Carport, so looking forward to studying here in the future!

Overall this is a decent shop. It is very popular, and the coffee is high quality and about the same price for what you get at Starbucks. This coffee shop suffers from a few rather inexplicable drawbacks, however.
The first thing that I noticed is that there are no posted hours visible nor even an open sign anywhere to be seen. This is problematic for two reasons: the first is that the windows are heavily tinted, and it can therefore be hard to know if they are open at all. The second is that their hours are very restricted. At the moment they appear to only be open from 7AM to 3PM (which as far as I can tell is only posted on their website). This presents a problem to new patrons such as myself, as I have walked by many times in the past thinking they are closed when they are in fact open, only to return later the next day thinking that they are open only to discover that they are in fact closed. Posting hours on the door or even an open sign would be really helpful for this business.
Furthermore, it is disappointing that a coffee shop right across from the University would close so early. At 3PM most students haven't even finished their classes, and by the time the majority of students have finished classes around 7 this coffee shop has been closed for 4 hours. This seems like a missed opportunity, especially since a study place is one of the main draws for other coffee shops in the area.

The baristas (Ashley, Chris, Kevin) were so friendly and made my first visit extremely enjoyable. You can expect a very welcoming and clean atmosphere. This coffee shop is such a good addition to the town - would highly recommend a visit.

Good selection and great location. I walked in on opening day (didn't realize it was their first day open) and found a great cup of coffee. Friendly service each time I've gone in. There's definitely areas where they could expand, but seeing as they've just started, I'm sure it'll be ironed out eventually. Design also unique as well.

The CUTEST little coffee shop with excellent coffee! The only frustration is parking which wasn’t too much of an issue. We had two of us so one went inside the other drove around. The coffee is worth it though! Very good and smooth! Highly recommend.

I’m all for new coffee shops in town and was intending on trying this one as I frequently am in the area and frequently order from Fajita Pete’s as well... but now I’m rethinking this. I don’t intend to support a business who stalks potential customers to tow them during non business hours.
Today I ran into Fajita Pete’s to purchase a gift card around 5 o clock. I parked (where I always do) in between the building of Fajita Pete’s and Carport. I couldn’t have been inside FP for more than 5 minutes. But when I came back out, my car had been towed. I have never noticed the sign on the Carport’s building (which is not near the parallel spot I parked in). It was unexpected and extremely frustrating... especially since the Carport was CLOSED. I could understand towing during business hours as there aren’t many spots in the lot. But word of advice - please post better signage. Your 1 sign that is visible in that area is extremely misleading. Also, don’t be the jerk who tows during non business hours. There is absolutely NO reason for you to not allow people to park in those spaces (especially the ones that are right in the middle of yours and another business) during times that neither you or your customers need access to those spots.
Congrats Carport - you lost my future business.

Fantastic. Everything about this place is exactly what I want to have in a coffee shop. Everyone is super nice, the coffee is amazing, the atmosphere is perfect, and they remember you when you come back in.
If there was a way to rate higher than 5 stars, I would.
