I've gone here once a week for the past 6 months or so because I finally found it: the best coffee in BCS.
Other shops have good atmosphere, but they don't have four separate spaces and vibes covered in their own artwork, plants, and soundsystems. Oh, and the art and plants are for sale! This place has a unique history that you can see in the architecture all around you-- go ahead and take a seat in the vault, it's lovely.
The coffee? Have you ever said "I don't like black coffee" because when you tried it at a shop or from your keurig it was sour or bitter? Let Gustavo tell you why that happens and allow him to make you a pourover coffee-- black. I did. Turns out black coffee has taste. The words on the package mean something, and you DONT need the artificial flavors that k cups have. If you see a pour over you like, grab it right then. They go at cost and the selection changes as soon as they're out.
The lattes and cappuccinos are excellent. Of course they are. Tavo has an award-winning latte artist and house made syrups with rotating seasonal varieties. Everything is made with love and care--especially since Gustavo is a 5th generation coffee farmer.
Try Tavo. If I haven't convinced you, yet, maybe you'll go across the street during the farmers market on Saturday. It's that close, after all. They even have snacks-- sometimes homemade by the baristas.

They since revamped the place for more food options, but this was my go-to place for a smooth Americano. The couple who own Tavo source their own beans from family in Guatemala and really care about the art of coffee making. Their drinks range from delicious espressos/pour overs for people like me who just like black coffee, to those with a wide variety of syrups/milks for fun flavors. They are also really involved in the local coffee/food scene in general, so it's always fun to chat with them about yummy things in town (ask them about the taco trail). The seating is more lounge-y (as it used to be a sake bar, and before that, a bank), but there are spots for studying as well.

The ambience of the place is so relaxed and creative. The owner is wonderful and the drinks are exceptional. My favorite is an iced americano with blackberry syrup and cold foam! Must try coffee shop! I also appreciate the little details of the fun glasses used here.

Really enjoy supporting this small business. Coffee comes from the owners farm in Guatemala, and the syrups are made all in house with raw cane sugar. They use reverse osmosis and mineralize their water to create the best tasting coffee possible. For espresso nerds (like me) all the drinks come in the right volume with the proper ratio of espresso to milk. Both owners and staff are super passionate about coffee techniques and trying new coffees, as reflected on their extensive pourover bar, and they’re constantly looking for new ways to improve. And if you don’t really care about that, there’s plenty of outlets, Wi-Fi, a printer, and bottomless drip coffee for $5 if you have to get some work done.

Very friendly staff who will prepare and serve you the best coffee you can get. Very unique location with tons of charm.

Really great aesthetic and I got fast and friendly service. However, I didn't like my drink. I asked for an iced flat white so it would have less milk and a more concentrated espresso flavor but they said they would give me an iced latte instead. So I added a shot of their "folklore" syrup to balance out the additional milk. I couldn't really taste anything though; the espresso or the syrup. It was also a really small serving for the price; for $5.50 I was expecting at least 8oz (in the picture the glass is only about the size of my closed fist).

I'll probably come back another time to give it another shot and order something different like their pourover.

I love coming to this local business. The owners are very friendly, and they are from BCS area, so they can tell you a lot about how the area has changed through the years. The coffee is excellent, and the espresso never tastes burnt. The syrups are made by the employees, and they are not overly sweet! Personally, I cannot handle syrups with too much sugar, so this is great for me. I also love the alternative milks offered by Tavo (try the pistachio!). If alternative milks aren’t your thing, the whole milk they use is from another local business in the area! The vibes are also wonderful; there are plants everywhere, and the natural lighting is very refreshing. There are tables along the teller space that I love to call “conversation tables”. They are a nice spot to hang out and talk.

Owners were present when I was there and incredibly knowledgeable. They gave me a great understanding of their offerings and were fun to chat with. I loved the vibe of the old bank and was impressed with the range and selection of drinks. Additionally, they make their own homemade syrups and they tasted delicious! I will definitely be coming back.

This place is Amazing. The shop is expansive so there’s a lot of room to study/talk to your friends. There are unique points to this place such as a pour over bar where you can watch your coffee be made right in front of you. The bakery is so delicious. They put a lot of care into what they make and in a short time it has become my main coffee shop

Extremely disappointed with this place. I had been looking forward to going here for so long. I finally make time and attend with some friends for a nice cup of coffee. Or so I thought.
Right when we walk in, you immediately feel like a burden. No hellos, no small talk, no smiles, nothing. My friends and I mentioned how we haven't been there before and are looking for some guidance on what to get. Both employees were no help. As someone who works in customer service it is my job to be as helpful as I can so you can have a great experience and enjoy your meal/drinks.

I am all about supporting a local shop, but in this case save your money and go somewhere else.
