Sonic Drive-In

Sonic, what can you say…. Teetering on southern staple with an air of grease to it. Still slanging ocean waters and good breakfast sandwiches. The food you can whine about but the service at this location in Alpine, you cannot. Tad of a wait on the mic during a late rush hour but Isiah and Rachel killed it. Concise and friendly, on pace and doing their best. Will likely scratch my fast food itch again, here at this sonic, solely on their service.

Why is this food so good?
Not a big fan of fast food, but when I get those cravings Sonic hits the spot, I love that I can just order a bunch of sides or single items and taste a little of everything.
This location is the best taste and speed of service I’ve had in the area.
Mozzarella Sticks and Tater Tots make a bad day go away (also the Corn Dogs and pretty much everything else).

Alpine seems like a nice, sleepy little town. But the staff at this Sonic just couldn't wake up this Sunday I guess. Needed something quick, so we stopped by for breakfast. They didn't look especially busy. But when I pressed the button to order, it took 5 minutes before someone answered. We ordered, and it took another 15-20 for our food to come out. The entire time, we're watching the staff and they seem to have no sense of urgency. But I play nice, ask the kid that delivered my food if they were short handed, he said yeah. I'm like, ok. But then, as I pull around back, one of the three employees I've seen outside having a smoke break. I get taking a break, but not when you're apparently so far behind that it took 20 minutes to get an order out. So one star for that. If I'm in Alpine again, I'll give them a shot to see if it's better.

Consistent if nothing else. Service can sometimes take a moment, but I recommend using the app.

Nasty. Shorted our order by 2 tenders the ones we got were old and dry. Cold fries. Onion rings were not done. Gets decent cook!

The food was cold forgot another order no straws

Very nice staff. On 3-14-22 all staff on shift at closing, worked very hard to help my family get something to eat. Thank you all for staying after hours to finish the order.

Come to Alpine often. Finally ordered a cheeseburger from Sonic. I don’t know if it’s Alpine but never had a burger that taste so much like a convenience store. Won’t be back

Some of the people that take the food out are rude, I understand they are short staffed but I came here one day and ordered my usual meal and to my surprise a very sweet young woman, I believe her name was Jillian came out with my order and I swear I thought I was at another sonic!! She made me feel welcomed and that's why I'm giving 5 stars for her but 1 star for the rest of the workers for poor attitude

Order arrived exactly as I requested. Fresh hot tasty and generous portion. Tenders gravy fries toast and a classic cherry limeade perfect ending to a day in nature at Big Bend. Super fast service too!
