Always a favorite for locally owned coffee. Their specialty drinks are always surprising and delicious. The staff is so welcoming. And sometimes they have gluten free sweets. But if not you can get a sandwich with gf bread.

I needed a coffee place to get me going for a walk at Shelby Creek and found Ugly Mugs. They have a wide range and selection and some interesting seasonal items as well. I got one of their coffee items and it was solid. They also have a spacious area for inside seating for the winter months and a wonderful outdoor patio area for warmer weather and gathering with friends, great for our socially distant times :) They are also conveniently located next to Five Daughters Bakery to make the perfect coffee and doughnut pairing :)

Ugly mugs used to be a great coffee place… Now it’s abysmal. The cappuccinos taste like grass. I guess that’s what happens with new ownership.

Terrible breakfast sandwich. The bagel was cold and tasted old. Slow service. Mediocre coffee. Not worth it.

Have been going here since I was in elementary school across the street. Super supportive of everyone and they have a great courtyard!

Enjoyed the bagel I had but disappointed that even the hipster cafes in Nashville insist on disposable/plastic coffee cups and don't recycle

I have always had good experience here. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is great, and of course the coffee and non-coffee drinks here are great! My favorite drink during the fall and winter here is hayride.
